The Alaskan Independence Party's goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:
1) Remain a Territory.
2) Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3) Accept Commonwealth status.
4) Become a State.
The call for this vote is in furtherance of the dream of the Alaskan Independence Party's founding father, Joe Vogler, which was for Alaskans to achieve independence under a minimal government, fully responsive to the people, promoting a peaceful and lawful means of resolving differences.
Constitution
The AIP believes full compliance with the constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Alaska is necessary.
Todays Judges interpet what they want and it usually reflects their personal bias. We believe that the only way to effect full compliance is to read the documents and interpet them literally.
Statehood
Please see the goal of the AIP.
Alaska has never been an equal state.
Feds create and enforce laws which are only in effect in Alaska
Many in the AIP support INDEPENDENCE. Some support COMMONWEALTH and others support STATEHOOD.
It is the AIP's wish to get a true plebiscite according to international law, where only legal Alaskan citizens vote. The question on the ballot is in the language of the people. (Federal military and their dependants are not legal citizens and will not be allowed to vote in this plebiscite.)
Are you saying you disagree with these items? I don't see anything wrong with wanting to have a choice of being a common state or a commonwealth.

There are four states in the Union that are commonwealths.
How very open-minded of you to:
1. make a blanket statement about how people think in this forum and
2. to call Palin a traitor
Hooray for open-mindedness!
