Tom Brady Epic Fail

Why did you jump all over the place and skip years? Why did you not include Super Bowl years?

Super Bowl Years:

2001 N.E.= 24th, Indy's=29th
2003 N.E.= 7th, Indy's= 11th
2004 N.E.= 9th, Indy's= 29th

2006 Indy's= 21st, N.E.= 6th

2007 N.E.= 4th, Indy's= 3rd

The only legtimate argument is 2004. In 2001 both had HORRIFIC defenses. In 2003 both were pretty much even. 2006 Indy had a worse defense but still won the Super Bowl, & 2007 Indy's was better but couldnt get out of the 2nd round.

I don't know what the stats say, but there is just no way in hell that Indy had the third best defense in the league. Steelers? Baltimore? Giants? Bucs? Titans? Redskins? Jags? When you're in the two minute drill up by one score any sane individual would take these defenses over Indy's.

Go look it up.

If we want to move to the offensive side of the ball now so i can prove to you guys that Brady is better we can now. Cause i got all night.

I'm not interested. Defensive stats are affected by offenses and clearly that is the case here. The Colts and Pats both had less than impressive defenses last year. The Giants were far, far better. I don't care what some stat says.

Brady is the better QB, but he's benefited greatly by having better defenses than Peyton.

Brady has certainly benefited from better defenses. Not to mention AV being the most clutch kicker in the game during their reign.

Overall defense isn't really the best way to determine the best defense... it has its flaws. Some defenses give up many yards but less points by creating lots of turnovers. Some its quite the opposite.

With statistics? They all favor Manning.

Yes of course all the Passing statistics favor Manning.

Where should i start!? The Colts offense focuses more on passing the ball rather than running it, while up until last year the Patriots had focused more on running the ball rather than passing it.

Manning has had Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, & Brandon Stokley

Brady has had Troy Brown & Deon Branch up until last year.

Which recieving core would you rather have!? Yea i thought so.

I get tired of the Super Bowl argument. Dan Marino and Jim Kelly don't have rings. Are they worse than Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Big Ben, and Jim McMahon. I guess those four are also as good as Peyton, Brett Favre, and Steve Young since they all only have one ring as a starting QB.

Does it occur to you that Peyton actually makes his receivers better? Did you know even with the best receiver in the game it took Brady more than 100 more pass attempts to get 1 more TD pass than Manning?

I highly doubt the Colts pass any more frequently than the Pats. I'll put the info together for the 2000s and see what I find tomorrow.

Since Stokley was acquired by the Broncos before the 2007 season. Branch & Stokley both have 8 td passes & Branch only has 10 more yards recieving.

Hasselbeck has been hurt for a good chunk of that time period.

Got the info right here.

The first numbers you will see will be what the teams were ranked in passing in the NFL. The second number will be pass attempts by the teams.

2001 N.E.=22, Indy=2 --- N.E. 482 atts., Indy 557 atts.
2002 N.E.=12, Indy=4 --- N.E. 605 atts., Indy 591 atts.
2003 N.E.=9, Indy=1 --- N.E. 537 atts., Indy 569 atts.
2004 N.E.=11, Indy=1 --- N.E. 485 atts., Indy 527 atts.
2005 N.E.=2, Indy=3 --- N.E. 515 atts., Indy 564 atts.
2006 N.E.=12, Indy=2 --- N.E. 527 atts., Indy 557
2007 N.E.=6, Indy=1 --- N.E. 586 atts., Indy 551 atts.

How does it not when the Colts average passing the ball around 60 more times a season than the Patriots do?

Which comes out to less than 4 a game. Not a lot considering the difference in rankings. Also, look at the two times NE had more attempts. Indy finished 5 and 8 spots ahead of them.

That is seriously a retarded argument and is used by way too many people without actually doing some research. Look at Harrison's stats before Peyton came along. Look at Stokley's too. And I guess you'll be saying Gonzales is all-world in a few years when Harrison retires and he's the #2 receiver, right?
