That's actually a really dumb statement because CBJ has proven to everyone here that he's not going to just play guys to play them. These players like Smith have been here for three years now. Do you really think this guy is going to play over Hurd and Lane? At the start of the season Hill and Smith were surpassed by a walkon from Maryland. So many people on here get butt hurt when other people talk facts and reality about current players here, but facts are Smith and Hill won't be able to hold the jock strap of a guy like Hurd. If you want to continue to see the BS product we have seen the last three seasons here then you and everyone else start a petition and send it to Knoxville and tell them it's ok if we continue to have 5-7 seasons, but please don't replace the players who have been here that can't get playing time over walkons. UT is a business and sometimes it's an ugly one. We are about winning, and these guys who can't see the field are being replaced as we speak by CBJ's recruits. If you guys don't like these facts, then I suggest you stop watching college football because every team with a new coach who has a brain does some cleaning house when he gets there.

Did I mention talent at all? No, 'just depth.' Smith had some good runs in the first few games. The Maryland guy sat all year, likely for a redshirt, I don't know, but whatever. That's not the point. Never did I mention that Smith is more talented than Hurd or Lane. So, quit putting words in my mouth like a woman would.
My point was Butch has flat out said, "we have zero depth." I want the most talented and capable on the field. To this point, Neal and Lane must have been better than Smith. But, Neal is gone now. I have no problem with cutting some loose as long as we maintain bodies, but as Butch says, we
don't have that. So, getting cut-happy like Kiffin...well, we know where that got us.
We have a lot of rebuilding to do to get to where we need to be, both from a talent standpoint,
and depth. We already know next year we're still playing with a thinner deck than most of the rest of the SEC, so even if they're not the ideal "SEC talent," we need people to rotate in, and provide competition in practices. That was my point.
