Every time we watch a Bcs champ the flaws of every conference shows. SEC have complete teams. Except for two drives this game wasn't even close tonite really.
UT vs Fsu= We saw Fulmer's staff out coach the second winningest coach of all time's staff. Personel was equal.

Uf vs Osu= We saw the dline and speed on offense was too much
Lsu vs Osu= We saw that speed and athletisism was too much
Uf vs Ou= We saw that Athleticism on defense was the main difference
Bama Vs Tx= We saw that The caliber of Athlete in the Sec is was too much
AUburn vs Or= We saw the o and d line were too powerful

We also saw that Just having a small qb to run a speed spread doesn't work against Sec top tier defenses. Bama and Lsu would have been able to shut that Oregan offense down. ANd they could have had 40 shots at a td from the 1 and couldn't have punched it in. That small qb changed some of his reads because he was getting killed and couldn't take it. In the sec he would not only be ineffetive but he may not last the season.

Cal held Oregon to 15 points. Does Cal have a top tier defense?

It proves the SEC is the best conference i agree. 5 straight isn't a coincidence. Oregon was clearly out matched at the line of scrimmage. They had the speed and a hell of a coach though. Chip Kelly may be arrogant but he's a damn good coach.

I think the long lay off hurt both these offenses. It would have been nice to see a game in the 30's.

I would say it's true that the top SEC team or two is as good as there is in CFB. However, top to bottom is a different thing. Hard to know, but I think the middle to bottom of each conference is similar. After all, we are not showing out against the PAC 10 lately.

There's no doubting that a pac 10 team can take an sec game in a bowl game. That's one game. And they can play well in it and compete if well coached.

BUT, none of the pac 10 teams would go undefeated in the sec if they played in it. They are good and fast but not strong enough in the trenches and most of their skill position guys couldn't take the grind of getting beat up by sec D's every week.

cal has one of the top 2 or 3 dlines in the country. and that is what one needs to stop oregon.

all last night proved is what i've been saying all along. the pac-10 sucked and this oregon team wouldn't have run the table in many other years.

What is sad is the SEC was down this year compared to the past few years. I doubt a team like Auburn wins the SEC in years past with just Cam Newton as their biggest weapon. Auburn was a good team but not a great team like we've seen in the last few years. Fans of other conferences can whine and complain but the fact is the SEC title game is practically for the National Title most years and will continue to be.

Colt Mccoy took a routine hit and was done. He never got hit like that ever in the big 12. Simms took shot 5 times harder 15 times per game and still kept going.
So he's not as big of a puss as his brother Sissy Chrissie.

I know I am not the most popular poster on this site!
I UNDERSTAND THIS!

But....... for any fan of UT, Bama, UF, LSU, or, UGA to EVER pull for Auburn in a NC game is STUPID!

Why would anyone pull for a rival to help that team????? This year or next year in recruiting?

I will ( as a UT Fan ) pull for Vandy and Miss St against anyone else....they have zero chance of winning a NC! The last 5 NC's have come from the SEC.....LSU, UF, Bama, and now UA....How does this HELP UT?????? Kids that are looking at each of those schools are going to the team that has the best chance of winning! It is not UT....as of now.

Real fans don't pull for a rival to win ANY game.

Would you rather be the 8th best team in the best conf......or the best team in any conf???? I know where I would rather be! Those that pulled for Auburn are idiots!...unless you are an Auburn FAN!

Last night Gus Malzahn proved he's one fine OC. I had my doubts, but he flat out had that defense figured out. If Cam makes the throws they get at least two more scores. He also controlled the tempo of the game. They had guys as wide open as I've ever seen in a college game. Maybe, the ducks secondary isin't very good, still he completely exploited them. He'll be a head coach if not this year, the next.

We've always played soft in the secondary. As far as I can recall. Give up big plays, then try and hold 'em on downs. Part of the reason our D coordinator is also know as Allow-a-lotti.

Does it REALLY matter who I pull for? I mean if the VOLS aren't one of the teams participating, does it really matter? Auburn and Oregon playing in a mythical B.ullC.rapS.ystem championship game, probably effects recruiting, but not because I'm pulling for one or the other.

As for the rest...Ask Vandy if they prefer to be the 12th best team in the best conference, receiving their share of revenue, or whether they'd prefer to be Kings of the Sun Belt Conference.
