Tonite proves it

The thing is, the best class in Oregon's history wouldn't even be a blip on the radar for the powers of collegiate football. It's a step in the right direction though.

In my opinion, the 12 class will tell me all I need to know about the future of the program.

The best Phil has bought yet, huh?

Two of the three coincide with the recent demise of USC, but Oregon's been good, not great. That's the difference we're talking about here. The CFB field frankly sucked this last season. You won't often see a team with as poor of a defense as Auburn had going undefeated and winning the BCS.

Oregon can keep winning 10-12 games a year, and if CFB is as thin as it was in '10, maybe even make another BCSMNCG, but here's how it breaks down: Except for Texas in '05, all BCS champions have landed a top 4 class within 3 years prior of their national title, and at least half of them had multiple top 3/4 classes within 3 years of winning it all. And Texas in '05 wasn't *that* great of a team, but VY went all VY in the title game.

I'd say a top ten class constitutes "a blip", but whatever.

Reading comprehension. An 8th ranked class, especially one that may finish outside of the top 10, wouldn't constitute the title as "best ever" for schools like Alabama, USC, Florida, Texas, etc. It'd be nothing to write home about.

Sorry, your highness. I didn't quite understand what you meant.

The 2002 class with VY in it was #1 in the nation for Texas
