Bezos goes to space while his warehouse employees piss in bottles and collect food stamps. With the flick of a pen, he could end childhood hunger worldwide and still have more money than you or I will make in a hundred lifetimes. So much good could be done, but isn't.

Oh my..

It’s Bezos’s money. You should write him a letter and tell him how you think he should spend his money?

That’s one of the cool things about being really rich I’d guess. You get to spend it however you want and not even acknowledge other people trying to spend it for you

Yep. Pretty ugly look.

As the rich get richer and richer and richer, more children die in the streets or their mothers arms. It is an ugly look, for one to have so much they transcend humanity and look upon their brethren as suppliers of more wealth rather than Imago Dei and in bedy of ministry

I guess you could invent your own Facebook/Twitter/Amazon and give all that money away. People are always gonna be jealous of the ultra rich. I just don’t pine away for their assets.

Yes, it's his money. He can do as he wishes with it.

How sad that he does not wish to save millions of lives without even thinking of moving the decimal place in his portfolio.

I would argue that the man actually is one of the few that is actually trying to create wealth and new industry prosperity...on his own start up dime.
Yep. I don’t really buy into a lot of what he’s spending on but he does put a certain amount of HIS money where his mouth is. But as we see… alas it will never be enough and there is always another worthy cause.

I do wish he’d hurry up and burn out on his “journalism” hobby though.

He couldn't end childhood hunger worldwide. 2 reasons: 1. some governments confiscate the aid intended for children and they sell it.
2. At most Bezos could temporarily satiate kids until the money is gone. Kids go hungry again afterwards.

Lol. Pissing in bottles? This is what you got? Is that some sort of demeaning behavior per our social constructs? Lol.

3. They grow up and have more kids that are now raised by parents that believe food just arrives to you. Not gonna work.

World hunger doesn’t look like his gig. Early childhood learning looks like his gig. And that’s the beautiful thing about it being his money. He can spend it on early childhood learning since that’s what he wants to do

There are an estimated one billion children in poverty. He could give a one time payment of $200 to each of them. That's not fixing anything for any real period of time. Stop with the histrionics and wealth envy.

Some people would rather see the government confiscate most of his wealth so that they can use it to outfit the taliban with some nice weaponry.

Dont be dramatic. He could solve childhood hunger for like a week. Maybe a month if he doesnt like them much.

There are 66 million hungry children worldwide. That's a lot of people to divide money to.

Different take on things.
No telling how many children, adults, shut ins and animals Amazon shipped food, toiletries, and essentials during the pandemic.

That’s his money and his choices.

Rumor has it the new proposed 39.6% rate as part of the infrastructure offset bill will impact a lot more taxpayers than the current 37% rate does.
