Clay Travis is a shock jock...trying to say crazy things to generate publicity. By the way...didn't he attend ut? And even though he's constantly building candy up...I think hes actually a vol fan

I remember someone on here saying he is friends with Clay in some way and that he is actually a Vols fan and always talks about Tennessee football when he's around him. No idea who it was or where the comments are but according to him he does like UT and is just playing the game when it comes to Vandy and pieces like this. Makes sense to me. I just think he's a little vulgar and racist for a media person. That's my only qualm with him.

If this thread proves anything, it's that Clay Travis is going to start picking on Vol fans, and VolNation, even more. This has been a huge hit for him.

Say what you want about VN but you cant deny we go hard in the paint hahaha. I realized this when we literally took over Dillon Bates voting for an award over on the Recruiting Forum.

Well, I guess some folks see nothing wrong with painting race-mixed babies as the stereotype for trashy people.

Some of it was funny. Some of it wasn't. All of it was purposefully poking a hornet's nest to prove that hornets are mean.

To each their own.

It is completely a lose-lose situation for vol fans when this jackass writes or says something negative about ut. He is good at arguing so no matter what he does, he always makes himself seem right. If we argue with him, agree with him, or even view his article he wins.

He takes shots at us because for the past 5 or so years we've had incompetent leadership and an awful football program. He says what we all know but don't want to admit. I'm pretty sure most of the hate for Clay comes from his Dooley hate which turned out to be warranted.

because the people he is making fun of support the program. They buy gear and attend games even in the bad times we've had. He claims to be a fan and yet does less to help than they do.

not to mention that creating a caricature of a Vol fan and assigning it all is just lazy and sloppy

I'm not sure how you would know that he does less to help them than the others.

Is he creating the caricature or just commenting on one that already exists?
