they broke the streak in 1994. In 1996 SC was 6-6 and this is your most memorable moment?

You are wrong. It ended in 96, and it was Holtz last game. Feel free to google it, wikipedia, take a picture, I dont give a youknowwhat. It was memorable because

a) it was a dismal year, as were many in the 90's
b) it was the irish, who are the suck
c) i was at a party with good friends

So just like you guys do, oh, almost every year in every decade, you find one game to feel good about because you hate the other squad so much the season feels somewhat salvaged.

Notice #5 is USC at Cal, Nov. 10

but to you it's an irrelavant game right?

Irrelevant no. Highly compelling? Sorta. I dont smell an upset, and there is no rivalry. I think its clear I dont respect Cal, but you arent good enought to hate either. Oregon is going to be a much more fun game.

maybe we should have a pac 10 forum for USC and Cal fans to rip each other on a Tennessee board?

This would indicate I am right and you are wrong.

However, losing streaks of 11 years (1983-1993) to intersectional rival Notre Dame and 8 years (1991-1998) to crosstown rival UCLA were unacceptable to some USC supporters

It was a tie in 1994, so technically it was still an unbeten streak in 1996.

Quit trying to be right by manipulating stuff. There was a tie, and unlike yall, we are into WINS.

"1996 USC defeats Notre Dame in comeback win in overtime, 27-20, ending the Trojans' 13-game winless streak against the Fighting Irish. (November) "

Anyways, back to discussing football instead of b#t$h fighting.....

After last year, I'm definitely going to be dialed into more Big East games. Some of the best ones on TV last year involved some combination of Rutgers, WV, or Louisville.

This comment lost you any remaining respect you might have had on this site.

right now they have Virginia Tech and LSU as the number one game, but the real number one game this season will be when Jacksonville State takes on Austin Peay in Clarksville the second week of October... O yea, its GOING DOWN!

They were somewhat entertaining, but they would not draw me to Big East games. As I said, the UL/WV game is way too high in that poll.
you say that, but that game could determine who plays in the National Title game.......

It will be like Deja Vu

Only 'cause SC will win again. The rout will be on this time around. We only had 5 returning seniors on last year team, a new qb. The offense was just very unpredictable and inconsistent all year. Won't be the same this year, and Cal's recruiting class cant hold a candle to ours.

there are a truckload of exciting dIII games with evenly matched teams that I'll never consider watching. I want to see the best teams in the country play.

Does that only mean SEC? Not saying you are one of em, but I know alot of people think if it ain't SEC, it aint good football. And I couldnt disagree more.

I'm not saying the Big East conference is a powerhouse or anything, but Louisville and West Va could play with anyone in the country day in and day out right now.
