You mean a general wants to keep fighting a war? Unbelievable!!

Bring all of our troops home now!

I admire this man and his accomplishments, but he needed to be reeled in...and was. So, these new breed of war mongers need to be checked as well. As mentioned, 20 years in that sand box is beyond the norm... process is not working, bring the troops home and take it from there.

Iran has fought a proxy war via Hezbollah vs Israel for years. Saudis have not, that’s not what I meant by that statement. They just don’t like the Iranians and I really don’t trust them.
If Israel wouldn't constantly make incursions into Lebanon and Syria, Iran would have no need to support Hezbollah.

Not this again... we've been over this time and time again. He was at best, misquoted, if not just lied on by the mainstream media. As long as you or I cannot translate Farsi, we are at the mercy of what the news outlets tells us what he said.

Those peace-loving Iranians would be the leader of Islamic nations if it wasn’t for those meddling Israelis.

Lmao
Just think of how much of a stabilizing force Iran could have been had the US and British not overthrown Mossadegh and installed The Shah?

This should give you an idea of how much Israel just wants to be left alone , it should if you just think about it ... How many synagogues are in Iran ? Now after you answer that ... what’s sitting on top of the Temple Mount ? You don’t think iseral could make that go away in a day if they wanted to?

We can rehash the history of this conflict till the cows come home, Ras. It’s the chicken and the egg conundrum. I was just commenting on the situation in Syria as it stands now and what it means for the region if we exit Syria. Not that I think we should be there ad nauseum, but imo it would shift power in the region to a Russian/Iranian co-op.

No, its no chicken or egg conundrum. There is a very clear and distinct landmark in time when all of the US-Iranian tension began.

Why would that be a problem?

Was referring to Israel/West Bank/Gaza situation. Very well aware of when US/Iranian tensions began.

Why would that be a problem?

It’s not, till it is.
