Transfer Portal 22-23

She is 5-10 if that. They had her listed at 6-1 at pitt. That's crazy. Kaiya is not only 6 foot, but can also defend and rebound. Wynn can get to the paint at will. We saw that over and over again. If she begins to finish, she comes with the bonus of rebounding and defense.
Wynn's not 6 foot. 5'9-10"....Karoline is about 6'1" and Kaiya is about 2-3" shorter

You putting Ace in the same sentence with Rickea Jackson is laughable at best. She will play behind not only Tess, but also Sarah, kaiya and either wells or Powell or both because both will play the off guard at times this year. She is small and the quickness is not there. Kellie basically said, she is a good culture kid and will work hard. Meh. This is Sydney Smallbone 2.0, but Sydney had a much better 3 point shot.Syndney was a very hard worker, but did not have the talent nor athleticism to play in the SEC even though way overrated.

I put her into the same sentence with Kea, not bc of level of play but as personality...Ace has no fear and she can take a feed on the move and finish.....we miss a lot of "bunnies" out there....be nice to have another finisher out there

See this be my problem with our staff we don’t even call the ones who can flat out score from every position. Jeff is getting people who can score the ball.
Yes even though UMASS lost in there conference she hit two big buzzer beaters for ot hand then scored on like 8 possessions straight.

Yes I’m really interested in the recruiting process here at UT . Because it’s couple of mid majors I watched and they definitely could survive the SEC gauntlet. They just wasn’t highly recruited do to were the lived it was like 5 players I watched mid majors who definitely could help us . Heck even McKenzie Forbes from Harvard would help us spread the floor.

They always lie on the heights of players

If Ace is 5-10 there’s a lot of 6 footers shorter than her and I can literally think of 10 off the top of my head. I agree they always do but they point is she literally sizes up fine. Now we’re acting like she is small so confused
Lol yeah she has nice height I’m intrigued in how she will fit as well as what she brings to the table

Then why wasn't she finishing and scoring at a high level at Pitt if she is that type of player? I watched a couple of full games when they signed her of her time at Pitt. She sits out on the 3 point line, doesn't play good defense, not a great passer, doesn't handle the ball often, and runs the court half speed half the time. Let's blame all that on Pitt's coach and call it a day, but she is no faster than Tess on defense and doesn't react as quickly nor is she as aggressive. Hopefully, she proves us all wrong, but I don't see it this year and maybe never at Tennessee. I stick by the Sydney Smallbone comparison with not quite as good of a shot.

sorry your daughter/granddaughter wasn’t recruited to UT. Only rationale as to your obsession of giving us all your analysis of a player, you’ve never seen live (supposedly), in every thread. Seems personal.

Yes she can put raven at the two run two point guards either one can start the break and half court offense. I’m very interested in raven development and output next season because she was an absolute sight to see before her injury.
Nonsense. Raven is pure PG, likely the best one in the SEC btw….nobody is taking that spot from Raven on the SC roster.

I think we’re going to be sh$$ out of luck if you know what I mean not many game changers left

How many game changers do you need on a team to be successful? This isn't to start an argument but i am actually curious as to what people think.

For me it's 1-2 (maybe 3). To me it is more of the system fit than anything. Game changers can be on both sides of the ball. We know Rickea is a game changer and a healthy TK is a game changer on the defensive side because at her best she is the best defensive post in the league. I look at a team like indiana who had a great system but maybe 1-2 game changers. Before their star player got hurt they were rolling. Iowa had one real game changer with a post that was good! LSU had 2 game changers but people who stepped up when called upon (Carson was a game changer in the Natty).

Uconn has always played 6-7 players a lot of minutes. All their players are really good and they've got superstars out of HS but maybe 1-2 of them keep that title when they step into uconn. They all are just really good at what they do.

So for TN Rickea is rickea and if she improves even more and plays hungry she is even more of a game changer. Now, the part is going to be who is going to be the game changer or two with who is on the roster. Wells can be a steadying hand at PG in my books that is huge game changer as we will have someone who can consistently score from the spot and keep defenders honest. She should keep the ball in her hands as she is also a good FT shooter. Jill is going to have the opportunity to be a game changer as well. Hopefully we see a healthy inshape TK by seasons end and the team will have enough time to gel with her being back.

This isn't to say I don't want another piece or 2 (because i do) on the roster i just want them to be the right piece. A solid contributor or 2 who adds to our depth and isn't a cancer on the team would help tremendously because you never know the impact of that type of player ( for us that's been Snoop, Jill, etc) .
