Transfer Portal 22-23

Talent alone doesn’t win championships. Thought y’all would’ve learned by now. LSU was not the most talented team last year. USC was. And they lost Uconn May have been 2nd most and they lost in sweet sixteen. Heck we were preseason top 5 and look how that went. Indiana and Stanford didn’t even make the sweet sixteen lmaoooo and they were top 3 all year

Bringing back the best player from a championship team + adding the #1 recruiting class in the country + adding the best transfer in the country

They’ll not only win it all again, they may go undefeated.

Van Lith is not the best transfer. I think people place too much emphasis on the fact that she can score but sleep on the fact she’s a black hole everywhere else.

If u go back u will see that I said Sc wasn’t really that good as people made them out to be, and I also said Lsu could win it all, this was all during the regular season. So I thought all along that Lsu could win it but others didn’t see it.

I felt the same way about South Carolina last season and we see how that ended up. But I’m stubborn so I feel that way again lol. It’s in part because Mulkey is a better coach than Dawn. She has proven she can do more with less and Dawn has proven she can have all the talent in the world and still underachieve.

A healthy UCONN would have been second. All the injuries hobbled them, just like it did to us and countless other teams.

Not really that good makes a final four undefeated……………… LSU had great luck last year too. Cant deny that. Esp in the tournament. No marquee matchups for them until the Final Four where VT CHOKED after being up 17.

It will be interesting to see them. Favorites sure. I PRAY Morrow goes there bc this site will lose it lmaoooo.

Hmm. It's been widely acknowledged that LSU has one of the more proactive and engaged NIL operations for women's basketball, and LSU's portal success would suggest that NIL power is bearing fruit for them. They're bringing in talent hand over fist, and those transfers are getting paid. Now we see them haul in Van Lith, who most likely left a reasonably respected Louisville program to get rewarded as well.

People can bash Tennessee's recruiting, and Harper's prowess with recruits, all they want - and they surely will - but until recruits can see similar benefits at Tennessee, it's going to be hard to grasp what's fair to expect from their recruiting efforts. What's fair to expect? I don't know the answer. I'm not laying blame at the feet of those who support Tennessee either. It's not their burden to play "keep up with the Joneses" on this one, not unless they want to. But I also don't know how you evaluate coaches against other programs when the next guy can plop bigger bags on the table - or worse, bigger bags with legendary coaches winking from behind them.

Everyone's in the same cesspool, so it's not unique for Harper, or for any other coach. Just an awkward, mercenary environment with rapidly destabilizing standards.

U don’t win a championship by luck, u beat every team I. Front of u. I’m just going on what I predicted and from what I saw I thought Lsu would win it all and I was right. Just like I said our roster was very flawed and we didn’t deserve the pre season ranking and I was right about that as well. Just like now with our current roster I think we will struggle and maybe could only win one game in the tournament if that.

Lmaooooo delusional. Ok. We play Miami in the Elite 8 we going to the Final Four. They played our Elite 8 team worse than we did until the 4th when VT went cold and choked. Luck has a lot to do with sports. They were also luck CC beat USC for them or they would have repeated

Preseason rankings are completely meaningless--completely.

They wouldn't have got HVL if they hadn't won the national title. Bribing players to sign with your school may be the new "thang"--but it's corrupt nonsense. Schools should stop doing it. This notion that, oh, we can get these top players in the portal if we just outbid all other schools for them is BS. It's corruption plain and simple. The college ethic has been destroyed.

We didn’t make the elite 8 because we wasn’t good enough and that’s it. Iowa beat Sc and Lsu destroyed the team they could t beat. If Lsu would have played Sc they would have beat them as well, they was the best team and best player.

I don’t care what needs to be done as long as it’s within the rules, Tn needs to do whatever it takes to get the best players like everyone else. If we was getting these players, everyone would be happy.
