SC would have beaten Iowa 4 out of 5 times if played. SC would have beaten LSU 4 out of 5 times if played. It does take some luck to win it all. One bad game and you go home. LSU had a player come in off the bench and could not miss a 3 pt shot. Would not have even been in the game if Reece hadn't gotten into foul trouble. I am not SC fan but they would have won over LSU in the championship game but they never got there.

What are our transfers doing? None of Suarez, Miles, or Pissott have found a home yet. I don't know if Kellie is letting them test the portal and would take them back. I would say no to two of them, but you never know.

I see this with some posters a team like LSU can bring in a highly coveted transfer, bring back key members from a team that won the championship and have a highly recruited hs class and some of you can say why they still won’t win but the LV can get any player and all of sudden the hopes and dreams of a final four or championship just start to pour out on this forum.this is truly a one of a kind fan base

Talent alone doesn’t win championships......but talent plus a great coach is a deadly combination....but again, that still doesn't guarantee LSU a spot in the championship game because there are other talented teams....Also, HVL or Angel could have an off shooting game durimg the tournament.

Sc out rebounded Iowa by 25 in that game. They could not make an outside shot wide open all game long. Iowa just packed it in and said shoot it and none of them could that day. We used sort of the same strategy when we played them at home and they shot lights out from the outside. When you get down to the final eight teams you always need some luck. The most talented team of last season will always be SC, but LSU is the champion.

LSU is a bigtime contender for the title next season along with a few other teams. Unless we do something about the two guard position and a backup strong rebounding post we can honestly say were not one of those teams with a chance. We will again be top four or five in the conference as were going to be as good as we were last season. The problem is a lot of SEC teams have gotten a lot better.

Nobody can predict what would happen in a game, I think Lsu was the better team and they blew out the team that Sc couldn’t beat. The reason I have good role players is because u need them to step up when it matters most and they did that. I’m not saying I could predict anything, I was just right that time. We all have opinions and nothing is a fact from the discussions, u think your way and I think my way, thanks for conversation.

That’s true but if one of them have an off shooting game, Johnson can step up or any other player in the number one recruiting class. Nothing is guaranteed in sports, but they are in a good position for a final four and we aren’t close yet.

Spear attended The Colony H.S. which is in the DFW area; but, you are correct that she played her club ball for Houston-based Cy Fair Elite which has sent many of its players to Texas.

All the assistant coaches at Texas and Rori Harmon started following Spear on Instagram yesterday afternoon; while that could mean nothing in the long run, it definitely shows Texas is interested.

I think you're probably right, but she did go to the Final 4 just last year (2021-22 season). And always made it at least to the Elite 8. It's not like Louisville has been in some slump. They had a tough season (for them) this year but they've been one of the most consistently at-the-top programs the last several years. It's been since 2017 that they didn't make it to at least the Elite 8.

And yes, Kim and LSU did just win the national title, but they weren't the favorites by any means. And Kim has a proven track record, but just last year LSU didn't get past the 2nd round.

I'd guess there's also an element of HVL seeing that there's a PG opening and hoping that Kim can convert her into a PG so she can be successful at the next level. She's too small to make it as a SG in the WNBA.

You are correct the Colony is a town in plano which is a suburb in Dallas. Overall 3 1/2 hours from houston if you can sustain 80 mph without a trooper pulling you over on 45 LOL

Not a chance because LSU would’ve never played defense where they dared them to shoot. And because Iowa showed that defense while playing South Carolina, LSU was able to prepare for it. The biggest reason South Carolina even loss in the first place was because of those bogus fouls called on Boston in less than a full quarter…
