Her efficiency scoring average is better than HVL and Johnson for all the time any of them have played. She scores at a more efficient level than either one of them. She also has a higher eff percentage than either one of them. She can handle the ball as well as either one of them and she has more threes and a a higher percentage shooting the three than either one of them. So that is what I base it on not just making something up because someone is a volume shooter and has a couple points higher average. When they played head to head this season Sear scored 49 points in the two games and made 8 of 17 threes. Van Lith scored 34 points even though she shot the ball over ten times more.
Spear's ability to get to the free throw line is also elite. Her 28.9% FT rate is in the 96th percentile in the NCAA, better than anyone who played meaningful minutes on our team last year (Tamari was at 26.3%). She averaged 4.5 FT attempts per game, just below Rickea's 4.9. Just makes her all the more dangerous as a scorer who can hit 3s but also drive and draw contact.
