I agree with you in that we need a significant upgrade at the 2 guard spot. Unfortunately, striking out on high school recruits leaves us in a do or die position with transfers.Exactly. This Avery stuff is a distraction, and an annoying one. Great if we want to give another TN girl a spot next to Edie. But if we're arguing over whether she might be as good as Tess, by definition she isn't relevant to our search for an impact player. The point is to upgrade the 2 guard spot, not tread water. If not a significant upgrade, why bother? I thought we were not going to recruit this kind of player any more.
Can they pretty please get back to serious biz of finding a 2 guard next week? And a back up post while we're at it.
I said before that backups is probably all KJH will finish the roster out with but she isn’t going to win no more games this year than last with what she has now. We need top players periodStats are stats and they provide a clear picture into how a player is playing on the court. You say a kindergartens take, but those stats aren't lighting up any highlight real. Tess Darbys stats are heads and tails better than this player on both ends of the floor. Think about that for a second.
I'd like to ask, are you contributing? or are you willing to contribute? I'm sure the same NIL sponsorships for the football team is also contributing to the basketball, as well and maybe even baseball. It is fair to ask those questions if you are spending your money but many ask those questions just to be nosey and have no intent to contribute and their only intent is to continue to bash what is and is not being done.Stats are stats and they provide a clear picture into how a player is playing on the court. Iowa took one star and a good player to a championship game and upset the number one team in the country who up until that point hadn't loss all season. Find the right pieces to put around your star (Rickea) and see how things turn out.I said before that backups is probably all KJH will finish the roster out with but she isn’t going to win no more games this year than last with what she has now. time on the court, like Darby got, would have netted the same resultsI like the kid, just thought she had a ton of work to do. 6-4 is nice size, but she was going to need another year or so to get some decent playing time if she got much physically stronger, more consistent with her shot, and moved her feet better on defense. Bigger players take longer to adjust to the college game. That is a given.
Padilla is actually a better 3pt shooter but I get your point.Other than those two Fountelroy is a lot better option as well. Much more athletic and a better three point shooter. JMO were not after Avery at all so why we keep talking about her? She will probably end up at ETSU or some of the other smaller schools.
I’ve said the same thing plenty of times, I doubt we even make the sweet 16 with this roster, I hope we get someone good soon.I said before that backups is probably all KJH will finish the roster out with but she isn’t going to win no more games this year than last with what she has now. I think we are after Avery, she just started following the lady Vols, Coach Sam and Vols athletic, plus other are following her as well.Other than those two Fountelroy is a lot better option as well. There you have it played 20 minutes a game for Pitt a terrible team and scored 6.2 ppg and 1.7 rebounds. Shot fifty percent from the free throw line. I surely hope this is not the best we can do.
