I don’t think Fauntleroy will be an option, that would be 4 guards 5’7 or shorter on the roster.

No need for Fritz after adding Strickland. Would be a redundant add without the hope of playing time.

Strickland is young, she was a freshman. Did you expect her to put up 15 points? You people are so harsh on this girl. She has the talent to be very good. Can’t wait to watch you people eat crow!! I also doubt we are done in the portal, don’t freak out. It’s still early

Just watched film on Strickland and the earlier posted analysis of her athletic abilities are right on target ....almost a clone of Darby .
I agree that the odds of her playing effectively in the SEC and making a positive contribution to the LADY VOLS is a huge question .
Hope the above proves to be dead wrong ....we shall see come December 2023 and January 2024.

There’s so much insanity and rudeness on this board with recruiting. Every player is not recruited to be “the star” or a starter. There are roles in each team. Kellie and crew are operating with far more knowledge on rosters, future classes, and the portal than all of us combined. That said, welcome home Ace! Glad you will be in orange!

she has the potential to be a double digit scorer if she can hit her shots more consistently. 6 ppg in the ACC isn’t bad as a freshman. she just needs to polish up her game over the summer.

that’s only on 16 attempts. luckily, kellie has a really good program on fixing free throws. we shot so much better after she implemented it.

I would love to hear Kellie's rationale behind taking Strickland - especially when you already have players that are really limited athletically. This isn't Missouri State. But it seems she's recruiting the type of players whose personnel is more suited for the Missouri Valley Conference.

Kellie and staff have not demonstrated that knowledge yet ....with the exception of Jackson .....either recruiting high school nor the portal .....the record speaks for itself as will the coming season if that recruiting does not improve dramatically in the next 60 seconds and they get at least one athlete who can make a difference in 2023.

Athleticism is too often used as a crutch for lack of skill. You don't have to be the most athletic player to be a good (even great) defender. They can be taught to play defense primarily with their feet, not their hands. But I do hope Kellie overhauls her offense to take advantage of shooters so that they are really earning their time on the court.

I will gladly eat two crows if she proves out as a real contributor next season and beyond.But ,she is not athletic,is slow ,can not create her own shot ,will be a liability on defense so if she can overcome the previous against SEC competition then I will eat 20 crows.

Yep. This makes Justine a big loss, IMO. Not worth losing her if Strickland is her replacement. No disrespect to her.

And if we don't add anyone else, BK will be a significant loss too. Even though she couldn't shoot, she proved her freshman year that she had the speed to disrupt ball handlers in the SEC.
