I think you are living in the past, this is a roster management game now. Nobody walks away from a Top 100 recruit if they want to commit because you "don't have a spot". No one was talking about jilting a kid the night before signing day anyway, I just think your hypothesis that we are turning away highly ranked 23' kids in favor of transfer players is unlikely. I agree with you that we are holding some spots for transfer players, everyone is, but by the same token if there were Top 100 type high school kids wanting to commit and sign we would be finding them a spot as well, even if it meant git shirting some 3 star high school recruit or poor performer currently on the roster, we will in a heartbeat and so will any other team. Building the best roster you can each year is the objective nowadays. As a long time fan, I don't like it but it's not 1995, 2005 or even 2015 anymore, mores the pity. These coaches aren't bumping any kids that have been committed for months, unless those talks have been happening for a while. (ie. Will Stallings)
If you pay close attention, this staff isn't just about top rated players. They do as good of a job as just about anyone on vetting these recruits. Culture fit and various other aspects are equally as important as talent to them. You may miss on an evaluation here or there, but the goal is to limit those misses in overall evaluations. I promise you that they aren't looking at the recruiting services when they're spending their valuable resources recruiting players.I think you are living in the past, this is a roster management game now. Dasan McCullough, DE /OLB at Indiana.
The “source” probably exaggerated a bit, but there will be a large number of defections and additions.Such an interesting time in college football lol.
I wonder how this goes, He can't replace his entire team lol!

Love this……..
“If anybody at the University of Colorado wasn't ready for Deion Sanders to arrive, they better get ready pretty quickly because this guy is not messing around.”
"We got a few positions already taken care of because I'm bringing my luggage with me. And it's Louis." Deion’s quote to the players
That was not a good locker room. Each coach has their own methods to establishing a culture. He wants a culture built on fierce competition. He quickly wants to weed out the weak and the quitters. The problem is that you can't have fierce competition AND say you're bringing in 10 guaranteed starters with you (one being your son).He just divided good locker room. Made his job more difficult than it needed to be. This is ego cart before the horse type shat.
i don't know. Yeah. At the same time, if you're a good player already (what few they have there) and you here someone is going to take your spot. I would be pissed. That would motivate me to take it to another level. That was not a good locker room. Each coach has their own methods to establishing a culture. He wants a culture built on fierce competition. He said he intends on bringing 10 starters with him. He also advised players to hurry up and hit the portal, and if they decide to stay he will try to make them quit. Like I said, he's trying to weed out the quitters but this approach could backfire. He's not at JSU.i don't know. Yeah. I think Deion will be fair. Best player will play.
And you know something else. I bet Prime is not just talking about his son and Travis Hunter. I bet this dude has already reached out back channel to other established players on other teams!
