Transfer portal discussion

When can we start signing some of these transfers? Is it after the conference championships?
Believe they have the same signing start time as early signing period (Dec 21st, I believe)?

NVM. Those are for initial counters (JC Transfers)

I think I'm the only person who is not impressed with any of the current portal QBs available. I'm also probably the only person who don't think its a must to get another QB RIGHT NOW.

I honestly think Jackson has a similar skill set as that kid from UNC and wouldn’t be surprised to see him breakout. I know he’s injured but I’m not sure why everybody is discounting him. He was a highly touted kid and will be in his second year. We recruited him to play SEC ball and I’d love to see how he progresses.

A lot of people are upset that there hasn't been this big explosion of top '23 recruits committing with the on field success we're having. I think this is by design as far as the staff goes. I think they are saving spots for the portal and using our succes for the '24 and '25 classes. No inside info. Just a guess. I think they really like our class so far and the guys we're still in on.
Undoubtedly we are saving spots, but I am also sure we would find spots for any Top 100 types who wanted to commit for 2023.

We possibly would now because they probably have an idea of who is hitting the portal and available scholarship numbers.

We would be bumping people for Top 100 players if we had to, but more likely we'd be taking commitments and figuring out the numbers later (which is a good problem to have).

These coaches aren't bumping any kids that have been committed for months, unless those talks have been happening for a while. (ie. Will Stallings)

JQ HARDAWAY, CB, CINCINNATI
The 2022 four-star prospect was productive on about 100 snaps as a true freshman. He’s an Alabama native, so there’s a regional tie here for FSU.
JQ Hardaway fit the mold of lengthy Cincinnati corners, which makes sense why such a coveted prospect went the G5 route. It would make sense if he follows Luke Fickell to Wisconsin, but I’d imagine he’ll get some nibbles from other P5 teams in the cornerback market.

His history shows he visited in 2021 before committing to Cincy. Be nice to add a 4 start CB with three years eligibility left.
