Again, while it looks like a lot of spots, I’m not sure it’s that many.Yeah, I don't think anyone is upset over turning away from Gardner. Gurley looks like a player, though, IMO. And I'm fine with the staff passing there if they land one of these bigger fish, but if we swing and miss on all of Brooks, Kessler, Dante, etc., then the heat is on over the decision to not push hard for Gurley. And I understand the "chill out, wait and see" attitude, but it's discussion-worthy in the meantime.
To me, with as many spots as we have available, it only makes sense to get one in the boat while you can. It isn't like we're squeezed for roster spots. Whike I think he can contribute, I doubt Gurley is the kind of player that is going to scare off any of the aforementioned guys.
Well, just the mathematics tells me we have 5 returning players, which leaves 8 open scholarships.Again, while it looks like a lot of spots, I’m not sure it’s that many.
You have 4...they want Key ideally, that’s 3, they are gonna wait on BHH 2, front runner for Aidoo that leaves 1.....Well, just the mathematics tells me we have 5 returning players, which leaves 8 open scholarships.
Add Chandler, Mashack, Diboubdje, and Powell, and that leaves 4 more. Tamba is a luxury who, IMO, we have the option of taking now, next year, or not at all. Say we land BHH, that leaves 3 spots. Unless you are insinuating other spots are already taken, who else are we saving room for? We aren't landing all of Kessler, Aidoo, and Dante.
We get Key to transfer than our 2G situation gets very interesting. He isn’t explosive but is physical, appears he can drive, post and has a decent 3 pt FG% over several years. Sort of makes you wonder what the rotation will be at the 2 and 3. James, Powell, Bailey, Vescovi, and Key all before we even get to the freshman. Chandler gets the bulk of the minutes at PG obviously. You have 4...they want Key ideally, that’s 3, they are gonna wait on BHH 2, front runner for Aidoo that leaves 1.....
Amen! I am worried about KY and Arky. They are pulling them in. People keep talking about Alabama, but I do not see them sustaining over time. As long as White is at Florida, I think they will be hit or miss. I am surprised TX A&M is not doing better with Buzz there. Mississippi State, Auburn and LSU will probably end up on probation at some point given their coaches...Missouri has the potential to be better but I do not see it happening under Cuonzo. Ole Miss, Vandy, South Carolina, and Georgia will continue to be Ole Miss, Vandy, South Carolina and Georgia...

Well, Gurley to Alabama. I guess my statement that I do not see them sustaining over time is beginning to look foolish.
