The only limit is the 85 overall number. Tennessee is docked 12 scholarships to be spread out over the next 6 years, so we’re expected to reduce the number by 2 per year for the next 6. So that puts us at 83 per year during that span.
By my count, Tennessee is right at the 83 number right now, but that counts guys who will possibly leave like Jabari Small, Jeudy-Lally, and others.
Bottom line, we have to be at that 83 number by August, so we’ll likely be over it in the spring, then others will leave. Hope that helps.
You don't have a number you can take from the portal, or even a total number you can take in a class, at least for this year. But there is a hard cap on the number of scholarship players you can have on your roster which is currently 85. However, we are limited to 83 because of the Pruitt mess.Well I didn't figure they would, but I thought maybe someone had done the numbers to get a fairly close estimate. Clearly that wasn't you!
lol. If I'm being fair, committing doesn't mean much unless he's signed or enrolled. McCoy was committed to Oregon State and flipped to us. But writing wall for Moore. He's a Texas kid wanting to go to the state university. It happens. Some kids want to stay closer to home.So what? We just gonna give up now? Quitter. [/blue font]

Problem is that he's already older for a prospect. The only way he is going to vastly improve his draft stock is by coming back and having an All-american type of year. Even then, he's probably a 2nd rounder at best given his age.Bru won’t be fully recovered in time for the combine. Everyone has advised him to show he’s ok on the field by playing another season.
If he comes back, plays decently, and shows he’s healthy, that puts him in MUCH better shape for next year’s draft than this year’s. Plus, he can attend the combine next year. If he leaves now, the health concerns alone might torpedo his chances of being drafted or even signed as a FA. Given that we have a young QB coming in, and a fairly deep WR room, I think it's unlikely he would expect to have a 1k+ yard season. He needs to try to make as much money as he can given how short the average NFL career is.

I just don't see the likelihood of him improving his draft stock considerably by coming back. 24 year old WRs (and he'll be 24 in June THIS year) don't get drafted in the first round. Not many get drafted in the 2nd round either. Given that, I find it unlikely he gets drafted as high as the 2nd round even if he puts up an AA type of season. If he comes back, plays decently, and shows he’s healthy, that puts him in MUCH better shape for next year’s draft than this year’s. The upside is that a 3rd round pick is better than UDFA, which is what he’s likely to be if he doesn’t return.I just don't see the likelihood of him improving his draft stock considerably by coming back. 24 year old WRs (and he'll be 24 in June THIS year) don't get drafted in the first round. So he's maybe going to be a 3rd round pick if he comes back and balls out? That's the upside here? Alternatively, he could have a mediocre season like many do their first season back from major injury, and he's no better shape than he's currently in. While the downside is that he has another significant injury and never plays in the NFL at all.

I didn't really understand that part either. UGA does a lot of rotating running backs. But, with the new transfer rules, he may transfer three more times by the beginning of the season anyway. I think I'll stop trying to remember player names and numbers. Waste of time.Wasn’t he unhappy with his Touches in UF?
Don’t see him getting more in UGA
