Transfer QB

There is indeed evidence that Milton is ready to back-up right now. I can't say yes or no on Tayven, but have only heard good things. Nico ... not even here yet, so how could this high school senior be ready "at this point in the season"? Maybe you meant say, at this point we don't if they WILL be ready. But good prospects, coached up by Heupel ... I feel good about our chances.
It was referring to the 2023 season.

Milton is completely fine. He was solid last year. Not great, but not bad (aside from that 1 play). He ran the offense well and made the right reads, he was just a little inaccurate. He seems to have corrected that accurately issues so far this year.

Dude's a pocket passer that needs to tone it down a bit learn "touch" (and looks like he's getting that under control)

He can run some (so could Peyton when necessary LOL)... But flash back to Shuler.

It's been a while since I've seen a pure "power" arm like he's got

JM3 looks like another Shuler..... TN will be fine next year

I would love to have Jackson and Nico and let them battle it out, Jackson can ball so don't sleep on him!

At this point in the season, there’s no proof that Milton, Jackson, nor Nico are ready.

From what I've seen this year Milton is ready. He has looked liked a completely different passer this year. Still needs a little touch on his short passes though. I think we are in good hands next year. Coaches will see to it.

I was a little surprised to hear J. Crompton say that UT will bring in a big time transfer QB after the season. What do ya'll think?
I can't imagine that, but I guess if Milton can't get it done and Jackson isn't ready, it's visible.

How do we know Milton returns? What if he reverts to 2021 Milton!

T. Jackson is a Freshman with mop up duty in two cupcake games. We don’t know much else.

Nico needs to learn the playbook and needs to gain weight. I would think they would want to redshirt him.
I think I heard that this is only Nico's second year as a starter??

It's plausible. I mean if you are a really good quarterback but you're playing for a team that just does not have the talent around you or the coaching to fully utilize you, why wouldn't you want to come play for the hottest offense in the nation? Every true Gunslinger in the nation is probably drooling at an opportunity to play for an offense that racks up the passing yardage that Tennessee does. JH has shown that he can work miracles with quarterbacks and put stats up that will put anybody in the NFL.

We were not a bad team with Milton at QB.
Yes we were. That is why he was permanently replaced early in the saeson. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we will be bad with him as a starting QB next year. However, he has not proved so far that he can transfer supposedly strong play in practice to an actual game as the starting QB. Some guys are gamers. So far, he has definitely not been a gamer. In any case, he’ll have to win the starting job next year.

I dunno, I would like to see what Milton can do in his third year in this offense.

If Tayven decides to transfer, maybe.
Dude has a freaking ICBM launcher for an arm. It’s insane; I just wish he had more control of where the ball ends up.
