OE they just don't get it. Kind of like when I was watching Batman many years ago and the guy behind me kept complaining that something could never happen. Seriously dude! Its based on a comic book. Reality checked out a long time ago.
I'm with you OE. The more bad reviews it gets the more I know I will love it. Watching it this evening. Can't wait

It's not that it's based on a comic book, it's Michael Bay.
Millions of dollars in special effects do not make up for bad writing, almost non-existent plot, and some bad acting.
If you can turn your brain off and enjoy the fight scenes (and identify which robots are actually on which side), then you might enjoy it. If you want an actual movie that has some plot and character development, stay far far away.
the difference is, good blockbuster films manage to have an adequate plot and decent acting, combined with all the SFXWOW. Surprisingly good.
Anyone that doesn't like this movie just misses the point of a big budget summer movie.
Twice as good as the first one.
This is one bad ass action/adventure/Sci-Fi tour de force.Great fun.
:good!:
not trying to be a dick, but have you ever disliked a movie??
Just saying...
I never have never thought of you as a dick WM. A Mr. Richard perhaps.
Movies are portals to other times and places. You experience thoughts, feeling and circumstances outside you own experiences, emotions and comfort zone.Even the movies I dislike I can find value in.
I liked it. To be fair, my friends and I watched a bit of the original show.
It was terrible. Transformers has never been about a deep and challenging plot. Not to say it should be (Star Trek reformed for the better), but Star Trek and Transformers shared the same writing crew... so what is the difference?
Transformers is about robots. That transform. And fight. That. is. all.
With that said, the "ghetto bots" were entirely pointless. That is the only part of the movie that got on my nerves.
