Listed Jon Gruden as the top candidate for the UT job.

They are talking to him live during the game.

First time I have heard anybody from ESPN admit that Jon is a solid candidate.

He repeatedly mentioned that Hart wants a coach with SEC experience. How did you get that Gruden is the top choice exactly?

The only guys on his list I could stomach were Gruden, Mullen, and Strong. If we hire Kirby Smart I will sell everything I own with a UT logo on it.

Tubberville
He mentioned Fedora

Shockingly no Golden

That is true.

But his words didn't exactly match the graphic.


He was purely speculating... but Charlie Strong was his first name.


I think the guy talking, and the guy who did the graphic, were two different people. Because, he didn't line up at all with the graphic

Strong would be great in the long run. Probably wouldn't generate as much excitement on the front end though.

Please tell me why Strong would be a great hire? I'm trying to understand why some folks are high on him. I look at his record as a head coach and his team's recruiting rankings then add a bonus point or two for his UF experience and it still doesn't come close to equaling a home run hire.

Yup, the main thing that got my attention was that someone from ESPN actually mentioned that Jon Gruden was a candidate.

There wasn't numbers by their name. If that's the case he thinks Smart is 3 and Strong is 5. Yet he plainly stated Hart doesn't want a coordinator, and he talked up Strong. It's randomly listed.

Briles was on that graphic; but he didn't mention him.

Tubberville was on that graphic; he didn't mention him.

He said "no coordinators", but then had Kirby Smartt on the graphic.



I think Palardylikearockstar did the graphic for them

I agree, I think we should set our sights higher than him.

He also said a lot of risk with Gruden and the announcers laughed. He talked up.Strong but had him listed 5th? It was randomly listed.
