Trouble in Kentucky?

Cal is right it is is a basketball school and always will be. Didn’t they give Fog Allen a Cadillac for a national title and gave Bear Bryant a watch when he won Kentucky’s only national title in football in 1951

It was Adolph Rupp. Fog Allen coached at the other cheatin Big Blue, Kansas. Bear got a cigarette lighter, which he used regularly.

Tennessee claimed the national championship in 1951…

It was 1950 and we won the actual title

Man stoops is the single most over rated coach in the country. He’s had what? 2 actual good years in the dang near decade he’s been there? And 20-30% of the SEC wouldn’t be happy with those 2 years, losing to your biggest rival and not winning the East. He’s beaten Tennessee twice during our worst time in program history, and both of those teams were the worst win-loss record teams Tennessee has ever had. If Stoops wasn’t at Kentucky, he would have been fired along time ago. He’s lucky he’s at a basketball school. Instead of having a small ego, he needs to be gracious that he’s at a basketball school. Basketball is what has made Kentucky a national brand. Stoops maybe at Kentucky for along time, or bolt to some big football school (and he’ll fail there), but he’ll never win a division championship…. Let alone a conference or national title.

Atleast Cal has done something in his career. What has stoops done? Seriously? Won 4 bowl games in a row? Big woop. Butch Jones won 3 in a row, and everyone in here was ready to fire him after the 3rd (rightfully so). Stoops is a product of his environment. If Butch Jones took the Kentucky job, which is who they wanted over Stoops, he’d still be there. Honestly James Franklins run at Vanderbilt was more impressive than anything Stoops has done at Kentucky. What has James Franklin done at penn state? Absolutely nothing, and that’s exactly what would happen if stoops was at a place with actual standards and expectations.
