Trump Admin Blocks Fauci From Testifying Before Congress

.. it’s a crazy time we live in . I’m in a state that’s locked down , taking pics ( like a Karen ) of ice cream trucks selling ice cream to people and going about their lives while others are going out to restaurants and questioning if we should have our liberties “ back “ . Somebody needs to make a movie about this stupid sh!t.

at this point does anyone know someone that’s had covid or died from it?
My brother had it (caught the china virus somewhere on a South America trip) and recovered (he is in his 70's). My son is a resident doc at a NY Hudson Valley hospital and sees too much of it. My next door neighbor's brother died of it near Detroit but had a bunch of other issues like diabetes, overweight, alcoholic (he was in his 70's)...

No and no
My aunt has cancer and couldn’t go back for her check ups due to this crap, I would wager more people will die from not being diagnosed or not being able to get follow up care for diseases than this glorified flu.

Indirectly. Friend’s dad in Maryville.
Coworkers aunt who lives in NYC.

I also know a few survivors. But overall, rare. Two friends who tested negative twice are being counted amount the cases in Knox co. Apparently got blood test and showed antibodies. Got real sick after flying from out of country. Another friend who got it while traveling by air. Wisely quarantined early. Local paper did an article on him.

What a bunch of pu$$ies! When I was growing up, we rode in cars with metal dashes, sharp knobs, windshield and door glass that would cut you to ribbons, and no seat belts.
My mom drove a Ford Country Squire wagon when I was a little kid. I’d fold the back seat down so I could lay out flat. Sometimes when she’d turn I’d slide from one side of the car to the other because the floor and the back of the seat were metal.

That’s hard to believe. What year was it? Ours had the headlight covers that flipped up. I think it was a ‘70
1973. You can see it if you scroll to the bottom and click on completed auctions. It ended yesterday or day before. I tried to post a link and it didn't work.

No seatbelts and a door handle that for some reason was perfectly in line with your knee... A sudden sharp turn required talent. If you didn't your @$$ got thrown out of an opening door.

We had corvairs and pintos. And played with these things called lawn darts and M80s.

What ever happened with those Nissan (iirc) cases where the cars accelerated and brakes would not function? Several people died and I remember one horrific video of a family filming it and speaking to police as they crashed at high speed. Horrible.

Audi had problems with "sudden acceleration" years ago.

My Mom had an Audi 5000 in 80's when a similar issue occurred. I remember it was even on 60 Minutes and people were running their vehicles though garages and into swimming pools. I think it preempted the requirement for the brake pedal/ transmission switch as she had to have retrofitted.
