Trump blasts Obama for playing golf; now setting records for golf played by POTUS

I simply pointed out that the trajectory of the economy and the DOW is no different than his predecessor. If you inferred anything else, that's on you.

How about a question for you. At what point does the deficit become trumps? Remember how the right used to care about that? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

If you want to whine about invoking that point as a whataboutisim or as it being "lazy", I'll ask you to point out where you've complained about that when Obama has been drug through the mud, in any post, in any thread.
I agree that Trump/GOP owns the increase in deficit. No argument from me there.

Still waiting on an answer to my question.

You tell me, I don't believe economy's are statically tied to inauguration date. An economy that improves without paying down it's debt is hollow.

Obama inherited a shtshow, that's not debatable. Trump inherited an economy that's performed on the same level as Obama's last four, as I stated, congrats on not screwing that up.

You guys want to pretend that the booming economy began in November of 2016, and that's horsesht.

Apparently the vast majority of the GOP stopped caring about deficits in 2016. I didn’t leave the GOP the GOP left me.
Rand Paul tried passing a budget bill earlier this year but quickly got shot down in the GOP-controlled Senate.

You think a tax increase and more entitlement spending would’ve helped?

We are still allies but we do not have to be politically or economically like them. Why should I care about Macron, Merkel and Trudeau as they are temporary? Relations with Australia, Japan, Israel and Greece, and Eastern European leaders has never been better.

If you say so.

No, I think that fiscal responsibility is paying down your debt. You can tell that's what I meant, by reading what I said.

I'm for cutting all entitlement spending.

Everyone's sacred cow dies.

Defense and infrastructure only, full stop.

Touting an booming economy while signing off on the biggest spending bills in history is the biggest failure possible.

Trump spent 1 of every 5 days in 2019 at a golf club - CNNPolitics

After promising to play next to no golf at all, he has cost US taxpayers $115 million to play golf. Please watch the video in this story, with Trump complaining repeatedly while campaigning about Obama playing golf, and saying he will have no time to play because he will never leave the WH and will just work all the time.

Trump Golf Count
It’s scientifically proven that the people who complain about Presidential golf typically suck at it.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I think Trump has had more of an impact on the booming economy due to his deregulation and lowering taxes. You think that it was all completely gift-wrapped to him by Obama, and he's just riding on Obama's coattails (which I wholeheartedly disagree with).

BTW, I hate that Trump kowtowed to the Dems regarding the massive $1.4 Trillion dollar spending bill put forth by the House. He definitely should've put up more resistance to that, and that is just one example.

I'm not suggesting that, nor have I that Trumps policies haven't helped the economy. You're missing my point, which is that the "boom" in the economy is simply a continuation from the trajectory of Obama's.

It may be hard to swallow but this isn't opinion.

Well, it's time to own the fact that the narrative that the right has so carefully cultivated over the last 50 years (e.g. that the right is fiscally responsible) is bullsht.
