Yeah, goofy joke that very potentially wasn't racial in nature. It's a simple concept. Which part you aren't grasping is beyond me. Does RB have a history of racial jokes? Not to my knowledge and I'm darn sure someone would have reported it by now.

Now, the problem is, it's going to take overwhelming pressure to fire Bee. Why? Because she went against a conservative and the left just DGAF.

Had someone like, I don't know, Candace Owens called Malia Obama a feckless c**t and told her to talk to her father over this or that, her time in the spotlight would be OVER almost immediately and the media would go to the ends of the world to castigate her at every opportunity. And remind everyone for months on end it happened.

I'm sure the network will fire Bee if they think that keeping her will negatively affect the bottom line.

As for my personal opinion, Bee's joke was in poor taste, but many times that makes for some good humor. A white woman calling a black woman an ape is never going to be funny. A more apt comparison is the Joy Behar situation. She flat out called christians crazy. Not funny. And in my opinion, that falls in the same category of statement that RB made. She should have been fired, but there wasn't the same kind of uproar.

Nepotism aside, due to her appointed position within the administration she is an 'advisor' who Bee believes hedges against having the hard conversations with the POTUS.

I see Bee's comment has little to do with Ivanka the person and everything with the Ivanka the 'senior advisor'.

Yes. But, it's not about that, it's about one side being able to say and talk however they see fit, yet, cry and complain when the same things are done to them. Regardless of whether in political, social, or entertainment venues.

Season 1 and Episode 1 was in Feb of 2016. She was hired to be an assault on the GOP and any potential victor, stop being obtuse. I would attribute her success to the easy target and vast amounts of material she's been handed.

In a way, trump has made her (and TBS) a lot of money.
