If it’s important to you to think of them as the terrorists for the analogy to work, knock yourself out. They could be the terrorists or the State Department REMFs who denied the requests for additional security.

The point is that people with tremendous authority are accountable for outcomes even if they’re not directly responsible for them. How you characterize the people with the more proximate connection to the result is beside the point, and doesn’t much matter to me.

These governors took stupid action and people died because of it. I don’t think it was malicious, but it was incompetent. If I lived in their state, I’d vote for somebody else. Hell, I’d probably campaign for somebody else if the somebody seemed up to the job. I don’t see the point of dwelling on their specific role in the analogy except that it avoids the point of the analogy. It doesn’t make Trump less responsible for the situation, it’s just a different kind of responsibility.

Ummm ....it’s literally been his job since 1971 ( Editor of WaPo) to inform the public of what he finds out . If I was Bezos , I’d fire his azz for sitting on a story like this so he could profit from it at election time . You can blame anybody you want but ask yourself , If you just scooped every media outlet in the country about a deadly pandemic that would make Trump look bad .. would you sit on it ? Before you say something dumb , keep in mind you can’t hold onto a negative Trump tweet longer than 15 seconds . 😊

I literally said “you can blame anyone you want “ then I went on to explain that it’s actually his job to report the stories he hears or finds out . He’s listed as an American investigative reporter , he works separately for WaPo as a reporter , an assistant editor there , a huge part of watergate , but he sits on this scoop ? Right Right .

If you wanna know why people love Trump so much than look in the mirror. I know that’s hard for lefty’s, I was once a lefty for 18 years of my life, I know that ideology doesn’t like you to think below the surface level. It’s not trump, it’s you/Dems. You’re not giving a better option and y’all are definitely not listening to people’s criticism. So the only thing left to do is vote for trump...... and hey if he trolls the hell outta of y’all, well than that’s just the cherry on top.
