Trump on track for Supreme Court Victory on Census Citizenship Question

Just because someone is living in the United States and not an American citizen, obviously does not mean that they are here illegally. For example, Melania Trump became a permanent resident of the United States in 2001 but did not obtain U.S. citizenship until 2006.
But she was documented and vetted.....dont be stupid, you know what people are talking about when they say citizen, illegal, alien or anything else.... Its the same debate toilet bowl

I didn't say that she wasn't. She was here legally, just as those with temporary visas are also here legally. I was pointing out that the citizenship question which the Trump administration wants on the Census form would not establish who is here illegally as some of you stupid idiots seem to think! It will only establish who is a citizen and who is not - the question of legality isn't addressed.

'Via Gateway Pundit" check your source, those are the same people who gave us Jacob Wohl. It does appear, however, that per orders from Trump, the DOJ will reverse course from yesterday and still seek to get the citizenship question added... since Trump saw the reports regarding his defeat and his ego couldn't handle it. LOL! It's not happening. This is what an administration run by a narcissist looks like - pure chaos and disorder.
I thought that you would be all cried out from last night.

Presidential: adjective

  • Relating to a President or presidency; having a bearing or demeanor befitting a president which is regarded as dignified and confident.
Trump does nothing which can be accurately described as "dignified" - having or showing a serious manner that is worthy of respect. Just because, in your opinion, other presidents have been equally inappropriate, still does not make Trump's demeanor "presidential".

I've been saying this my whole life!!!! Trump is just showing us how messy our whole government is. Do you honestly think government was run well under anyone for the last 100 years?

Basically, per a federal judge's order today, the DOJ has until 2 pm on Friday to either drop their pursuit of adding the citizenship question to the 2020 Census questionnaire, or to provide the court with a plan for their legal strategy going forward to have the question added to the Census. This federal judge is not going to allow Trump to falsely claim that his administration is still working to add the question, if they are not. And this federal judge will also not allow the DOJ to say that they are moving forward with a plan to have it added, unless they provide specific details of what this plan will involve by Friday afternoon at 2 pm. So, we should have clarity on this matter in about 40 hours.

It hasn't been run anything like this before. We have a president who literally just used his Twitter account to communicate a change in legal strategy on the part of his administration to the Department of Justice. It wasn't done by a phone call, Skype, FaceTime, a teleconference call, an e-mail message or even a text... Trump literally just voiced a change in legal strategy on social media... and then expected a man who had already left town for vacation to read his tweet and get right on it. I will say it again, that is no way to lead.

Just think that this kind of stuff used to be hidden. I love transparency.

Transparency? Yeah, let's give the Trump administration points for transparency. Makes perfect sense. LOL. This was an incredibly inefficient means of communication... and it underscores that Trump is an impulsive and indecisive decision-maker who is also quite lazy. You already have your phone in hand, so why not make a call directly to the DOJ instead of just putting it on Twitter and totally confusing everyone? It is horrible leadership.

It's terrible, but honest. We've been putting lipstick on pigs for a very long time. Trump's just letting it glow like a pregnant woman.

I guess there's still an injunction in place in one of the census question cases (not one of the ones that went to SCOTUS) that prevents the federal government from printing the census with the citizenship question. They've filed an emergency motion to determine whether the federal government intends to blatantly violate that injunction. Glad we have a "law and order" president that will respect the law. Haha.

Whenever he sees himself being criticized on Fox News for "giving up" on a cause, there is no extreme that he won't go to, in order to fight that perception. He put the government through a five week shut down in December and January for just that reason, and still got less than $2 billion for his border wall. More than anything else, Trump cares about himself and his "brand image". He can't let his base see him being called a "quitter" on his favorite cable news network. That would be bad for business.

So its cool for liberal states to defy the law but nobody else right?

Is this really supposed to accomplish something other than a publicity stunt? I thought you guys were against wasting tax payer dollars on publicity stunts?

I agree that Trump acts like a child, but I wish people would stop throwing around "presidential" as if it has true meaning. The office of the president (and basically all political positions) deserve no respect.

What? Bowlbrother liked this tweet and didn't scream "check your source"?
