Trump press conference

They're modern day catamites to the socially-trendy liberal elite. They get called upon to pleasure those they adore only to be cast back to their disgusting newsrooms. They lack basic integrity. Wikileaks has exposed them for what they are - cogs in the Democrat agitprop machine who get rewarded with invitations to fancy cocktail parties and to dine with John "Pizza Map" Podesta

It's Podesta the Molesta.

I've always been intrigued by the fact that most people that make a living from, gathering, analyzing, and disseminating information tend to be liberal. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Fact is for most there is very little money in being a reporter, I'd say most journalism majors have said more than once that they "want to change the world". I doubt that ideal is ever squashed in college and realism imparted.

Conservatives aren't smart enough to do all that fancy stuff.

You should say news reporters. Most intelligence personnel execute the same tasks and aren't liberal.

They have become politized. Obama made the Intel Agency heads change the information to conform to his agenda. The people who actually did the work weren't happy about it.

The heads are political appointees but they are not the ones who author the reports. They just brief and edit to put their narrative on it. A good analyst cites sources and corroborates information to verify the accuracy. Assessments based on single source reporting is a big no no.

Definitely has become a self perpetuating system. The vast majority of Journalism departments in our universities are staffed by liberal professors.

The "speak truth to power" is an inherent bias that adopts a world view that those without power are victims of the the powerful. While there is some truth to this and there is a need to present the perspectives of those with a smaller megaphone it begins the journalistic investigation with an assumption that the more powerful is the antagonist.

Finally I'm intrigued by the liberal evolution or paradox of being anti-establishment and anti-powerful on one hand but directly advocating for a more powerful government (the greatest potential victimizer of all) to equalize the power imbalance. The liberals of the 60s hated government; the liberals of the 2010s love it.

He cut spending, fired competent generals and admirals who disagreed with his failed strategy in regards to Iraq and Isis etc etc. What ****ing army did you serve in?

More was spent on the military during his presidency that any other president in history.

The military spending needs to be slashed big time. We spend more on the military than the next 8-10 countries. Most of those countries are our allies. We could do with a much smaller military.

We're already there Clyde, we've got the smallest ****ing military since post World War II get a clue, not to a mention the Navy as well. When the sequestration went into effect the first thing that ******* did was cut defense spending.

And yet he still spent more on the military than any president in history?

We still need to cut at least 25% from the military budget.

Could do that cutting waste.

That might be true. This is where I have high hopes for Trump. In government, there is a mentality that if you save money it's a bad thing because they will take it from you next year. Government employees need to be paid like private sector employees. Save money, get a bonus. waste money, get fired.

The DOD has the worst waste problem in government. There are more pencil pushers than there are soldiers.

This is what he does. A report or news story about something that in any way diminishes his ego? Lash out!

There is something seriously wrong with him. He's really pathological about it.

God forbid he defends himself over bs accusations

The investigation is into a host of issues, which includes Comey's commentary after deciding not to prosecute, and his comments just days before the election about looking into the email issue yet again (and it turning out it was simply duplicative of prior stuff).

The manner in which Comey did those things is not "bs accusations." It is deeply disturbing and appears highly partisan. But that's just it, its a question of appearance. That is why there is going to be an investigation into his actions.

The reason Trump doesn't like it, just like he stomped his feet about allegations of Russian hacking and meddling, is because it implies he won because of outside forces and not just how great he is and how much everybody loves him.

He can't stand it. It literally drives him crazy to have anyone question him or his power or authority.

:good!: That last sentence describes Obama perfectly for the last 8 years.

Lashing out is better than taking criminal action against reporters (leaks), getting their phone and email records or secretly labeling them unindicted co-conspirators.

He didn't ban CNN like Team Obama tried to do with Fox.

If this investigation does not include the same deep look into Lynch meeting with Bill on the tarmac then it is worthless.
