Trump promises and proposals tracking thread.

I'm really mystified by the Ukraine peace on the first day, deal. Putin says he's willing to talk about ending the war but of course he'll demand some chunk of Ukraine's territory for that, which Ukraine doesn't want to give. Seems like a Charlie Foxtrot incoming on that one.

Ukraine doesn't have to give up any territory.

Depends on how long Trump supporter remain in the "yeah, we agree, we are going to hold him to his promises" schtick, until they inevitably revert to "What he meant to say was" positions, to excuse both Trump having made the promises and their having voted for him based on the promises.
This thread, this list we are tracking is open to all. Including you. We're striving for clarity and agreement what is tracked and how to record the results.

Sorry @McDad your thread didn't even make it one day with posters following the guidelines.
No worries. This is a big tent thread. There will be stretches of no modifications or updates to post after compiling the list and his last day in office.

Talk to me about your link on SALT. Headline uses "Trump suggests". Article quotes out of context from TruthSocial.

It strikes me like the no tax on OT which was floated more than pledges, promised, or proposed.

What do you think?

He says he will get SALT back. Id call that a pledge/promise.

I'm expressing skepticism of a particular promise. I don't think I'm alone on it.

Agreed. There's no ambiguity in that.
Updating op.

Thanx

Great. Skeptics are required. Wanna keep this as objective and impartial as possible.

Hope you and any other skeptical folk will help out.
I hope he doesn't follow through with several of them. There certainly are some you can almost strike a line through it because it ain't happening. I'm not concerned whether or not he follows through with any of them. Greatest free entertainment of all time

Sounds like excuses a salary worker would make up.

Not trying to be combative but I read both articles. Both mentioned what he said. No direct quotes in tax foundation article. Only quote is second article was about hard working americans and overtime...but nothing about his promise.

I'll keep searching on my end. Please do same.

Understood. Many, including me, think some are impossible without a CA and/or bad policy.

But I feel like it is too subjective to cull out those promises preemptively and leave the others.

If enough people feel strongly about it, I'll edit to reflect what the board wants.

As opposed to what Puddinhead and the rest of you did, at least there will be some form of accountability. Ya'll didn't give a **** what your people did to us.

This might be the ploy to get Putin to talk peace..
This is one of the major reasons that Putin invaded Ukraine. The killing of the Keystone XL pipeline and allowing Nordstream 2 from Russia to Europe was the beginning. Putin officially had Europe by the balls after that. Afghanistan was the final straw as it showed our weakness in that we weren't going to stand up to any force.

Start taking away Europe's energy dependence on Putin ala "drill baby drill" and you are going to start taking away his influence.

This is the start of the winning strategy. I foresee Europe being dependent on US energy by the end of Q2 next year and see Putin start coming to the negotiation table by the end of Q1.

He is going to turn things around so quickly.

I wasn't suggesting taking any out. The entire list leaves room for discussion on any one of them
