Because this cult leader proclaimed fraud these cult members having felt disenfranchised by former administrations and other perceived societal ills over a period of years embraced his false claims of fraud as factual and emotionally ratcheted themselves up concurrently with him egging them on to attack Congress

And following the same personality flaws those cult members turn with vicious impunity on anyone close to POTUS who now backs away from him lest they be compared to him forever

All actions have consequences. These perpetrators will have cell time to realize they got duped out of $250,000,000, their future emotional well being and time with their families
