I believe it was just a bunch of idiots who got caught up in the moment and went mob mentality. They should still be charged for trespassing in forbidden areas such as the chamber but labeling it terrorism is over kill I believe.

I think that is true for most who went to the capitol. Those who went with evil intent just used the other protestors as cover.

The fact that in this very forum I have seen numerous posters talk of an armed response numerous times and not only that is was possible but even probable, tells me that the undercurrent was there. That was no secret. Trump was well aware. He knew the implications of repeatedly lying about the election and giving his followers false hope.

I'm not sure. I saw a bunch of the insurrectionists walking between the velvet ropes in the rotunda for a while. Those velvet ropes were the things that separated the insurrectionists from the statues and paintings.

I've gone back and forth on that since you first brought that up last week. I don't have a good explanation one way or the other. Its either people on the ground that were sympathetic to Trump or the cause of the protesters or a scheme to let the protesters in and create a false narrative.
