Trump takes the 5th

Well at least maybe some people will realize Trump is shady and all this isn't some grand conspiracy against him. Innocent people prove their innocence, not take the 5th.

Uhhhh no. Innocent people get can easily get convicted of a made-up crime when they want to get you. Michael Flynn is the perfect example of that and James Comey even bragged about doing things that were basically well outside FBI ethics to try to create something that wasn't there. There was no actual crime, only because he spoke to them were they able to construe his statement as one.

In your every day life, there may be some truth to the idea that the guilty are more likley to clam up but in politics, there is no expectation of normality. Trump understands this is merely a partisan witch hunt.

In a banana republic they sure do. In these United States of America you are innocent until proven guilty. Sorry that pesky old Constitution remains an obstacle for you.

That is legitimate meme material.

Hogg, as Trump said previously, "If you're innocent, why hide behind the 5th Amendment?"

So go ahead and explain why Trump is now hiding behind the 5th Amendment.
