Except that we have seen plenty of procedural crimes lead to people getting arrested. Including some of the Trump followers. How many are in jail for "lying" to the FBI while not being guilty of whatever they were being investigated for when they "lied"?

Maybe Trump just needs to forget or "Can't recall at this time". Maybe end with a "at this point what difference does make". That's what innocent people do.

I agree.

I was always taught to seek counsel (A lawyer) in these situations no matter how innocent I was given the circumstances. Even in my firearm safety class, the instructors were passionate about not talking to local law enforcement without a lawyer if my firearm was ever used to protect me and/or my family.

However, given some of the lawyers on this forum, I’m even rethinking that!

The strange part of that, is how little forethought he gives to being critical of others.

After that debate with Hillary Clinton in 2016, it was Newt Gingrich on Fox News (a Trump apologist), who said that attacking people for pleading the 5th would come back to bite him eventually. That Trump would have to plead the 5th one day himself was very predictable. He gives no consideration to avoiding the appearance of hypocrisy at all. The man is a walking contradiction.

Really? I don’t recall President Trump ever being tried by a jury of his peers, which is the only way guilt can be determined in our constitutional republic. I know, that’s just an ancient document that keeps getting in your way But that’s just the way it is.

As I have written before, if Trump is charged, tried and found guilty of any crime then he should receive the exact same punishment as anyone else. However, when Mrs. Clinton can destroy evidence, Biden can receive benefit from foreign companies for access to his office and the FBI and DOJ can purger themselves to sway an election I have a difficult time believing that justice is blind. But you democrat socialists have opened pandora’s box and will reap what you have sown.
