Trump takes the 5th

Hogg, as Trump said previously, "If you're innocent, why hide behind the 5th Amendment?"

So go ahead and explain why Trump is now hiding behind the 5th Amendment.
So you think the FF created the Fifth to protect the guilty? Or at least you agree with 2016 Trump that the Fifth only protects the guilty.

Wut? Who's buried in Grant's tomb?

"The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides that “no person … shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.”

Ergo, if you committed no crime, you won't self-incriminate.

Because he is smart enough to listen to his attorneys.

As I said, his comments are legitimate meme material.
As always, the point ...

... is that Donald Trump is an epic-level hypocrite.

Have you considered trying to find employment as a professional Trump critic? Your game is at least as good as I see in many of the paid “analysts” in the media. Lincoln Project could actually use some affordable help right now I’d guess

Come on, you're not that naive.

I can … That was in 2016 right ? How many times did the full force of the government try to pin something on him between 2016 and today ? I’d call it a learning curve . He got smarter after being in the center of the sh!t storm . Anyone here that would not take the 5th right now speak up and let’s hear your logic .

Sounds like a great gig ...

My 18 year old daughter just started as a waitress at the Double Dog's on Kingston Pike.... she sent me a text yesterday with the signature "A Gainfully Employed Member of the Family." HAHA! Funny stuff.

We got multiple people critisizing him for listening to his lawyers.
Perspective. For those who blindly follow trump this will affect his image zilch. The constant attacks form the left are in fact galvanizing Trumpers. From that perspective it does appear that they are weaponizing federal Law enforcement against him. Why would he say anything, when it is going to be used against him.

I think he did what he needed to do if he is guilty.
He basically said, "of course I'm guilty, but I'm not about to help you prove it."

After all, if someone has an alibi which proves they are innocent of a suspected crime, I doubt they would choose to take the 5th.

Why would ANYONE speak to law enforcement at any level? I wouldn't discuss the weather with an FBI agent, they have earned the distrust.

You prove your naivety on the daily.

Let your lawyer give them your alibi.

Why would anyone ever sit down and talk with someone whose sole goal was to convict you?

In a banana republic they sure do. In these United States of America you are innocent until proven guilty. Sorry that pesky old Constitution remains an obstacle for you.
He has pretty much been proven guilty. He was being given the opportunity to disprove those findings of guilt.....and he couldn't.
