TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Correct.

Magnitsky Act froze Russian assets and banned visas for sanctioned individuals. Fusion’s Simpson is believed to have been working with Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akhmetshin, a former Soviet counter-intelligence officer turned Russian-American lobbyist, to overturn the sanctions...If memory serves, she also met with Fusion GPS Simpson the day before and after the 'nothing burger' Trump Tower meeting.
That's odd.

Nothing fishy there :whistling:

I DID NOT say that's what he did.

Not sure you fully understand what you are talking about, nor do I since we've not seen the memo...however, 'if'

the memo includes discussion of how Rosenstein approved the continuation of surveillance of Carter Page, a former campaign adviser to President Donald Trump. Republicans have been saying how the DOJ has used improper methods to carry out surveillance on Americans with the latest details claiming that Rosenstein wrongfully allowed this to continue. President Trump could very well use this as an excuse to fire Rosenstein. What would happen next seems pretty clear.

A lot of this seems to stem from the application for a FISA warrant stemmed at least in part from the notorious unconfirmed Russia dossier. Republicans reportedly believe that when federal officials applied for the court’s permission to conduct surveillance of Page, whom they believed to be a Russian agent, they didn’t disclose the extent to which they were basing their cause on unverified information. Likewise, when Rosenstein authorized the continuation of the surveillance, he too could have acted improperly.

GOP Memo Shows Signs That Mueller Could Be on His Way Out | Law & Crime

The article says that Trump may use the Nunes memo as a cover for firing Rosenstein. Trump's hand picked selection to replace Rosenstein would then fire Mueler. The article in no way insinuates that this is proper, just that it is the republican angle. All of it is based on the legitimacy of the Nunes memo. And we know how legitimate that is.

How so?

How exactly are facts partisan?

All of the important things we are hearing about the talking points memo are already known. It seems pretty obvious I think to anyone that is reasonable that the purpose of all of this is to give Donald cover for declining to meet with or give testimony to Mueller.

The memo gets released. The right wing is in a tizzy fit. Trump says, "Oh, I wanted to testify, believes me. But now it's so tainted it wouldn't be fair."

Pathetic.

But hey, it will cost the GOP the house and Senate. The Dems will then impeach and convict. And the national nightmare of Trump will be over by next summer.

Do you? OK. Tell me how legitimate it is, and how you know.

Hardly legitimate at all. By compiling and analyzing the totality of all opinions of those that have seen the memo and understand the motivations behind its creation.

Plus, Nunes is a know partisan hack with no credibility.

And how is he different than Shiff?

Nunes is pure partisan with zero credibility and zero integrity.

Shiff is partly partisan with some credibility and a good deal of integrity.

Beer, wine, and PGA are all alcoholic beverages. They obviously have alcohol in common.

Nunes and Shiff are both politicians and obviously have partisanship and party loyalty in common.

If alcohol equals biased partisanship, then Shiff is wine and Nunes is PGA.

LOL!!

The memo will wilt when exposed to the light of day. Why?

1. Nunes is a proven fool and Trump tool. Rewind to his March, 2016 idiotic antics. Laughable you fools now buy anything he peddles.

2. Shiff may be allowed to the Democratic "counter memo" that will undoubtedly destroy moron Nunes' memo.

3. Most telling, Nunes refuses to even let the department of justice review or see his stupid memo. Why? Again, the truth will blow it sky high.

Anyway, enjoy your hype. Nothing burger served up soon ladies.

And how is he different than Shiff?

Adam Schiff hasn't pulled a dumb stunt anything like what Devin Nunes did last March. He looked like an idiot for declaring that he had information from an anonymous source claiming that the government 'incidentally' collected some of the Trump team's communications before the inauguration. In reality, he was just providing political cover for Trump when he rushed to the White House to essentially give Michael Ellis (a former Nunes staffer) and Ezra Cohen-Watlick back information he had just received from them the night before his infamous press conference during a secret meeting. Nunes was supposed to be leading the independent investigation. That was a transparent farce which puts a cloud over everything else he does.

So, Nunes gets you where you want to be (drunk) much quicker than Schiff, right?
