GASLIGHTING - I thought it was an interesting concept and could see that it was Trump's and the right wing media's goal. But never in my wildest imagination did I think it would so easily and quickly succeed with so many people.
The inability of so many to distinguish between truth and fiction or legitimate vs. fake news is frightening. I'm curious it there will be a peak and then a move back toward a more enlightened populace or if we are doomed to become increasingly ignorant.
Hardly legitimate at all. By compiling and analyzing the totality of all opinions of those that have seen the memo and understand the motivations behind its creation.
Plus, Nunes is a know partisan hack with no credibility.

All of the important things we are hearing about the talking points memo are already known. It seems pretty obvious I think to anyone that is reasonable that the purpose of all of this is to give Donald cover for declining to meet with or give testimony to Mueller.
The memo gets released. The right wing is in a tizzy fit. Trump says, "Oh, I wanted to testify, believes me. But now it's so tainted it wouldn't be fair."
Pathetic.
But hey, it will cost the GOP the house and Senate. The Dems will then impeach and convict. And the national nightmare of Trump will be over by next summer.
Yes... to report the news. When it's not factual or libelous they get SUED. Trumps lies, on the other hand, get him more votes from the village idiot rubes.

The article says that Trump may use the Nunes memo as a cover for firing Rosenstein. Trump's hand picked selection to replace Rosenstein would then fire Mueler. The article in no way insinuates that this is proper, just that it is the republican angle. All of it is based on the legitimacy of the Nunes memo. And we know how legitimate that is.
Do you? OK. Tell me how legitimate it is, and how you know.

Why is no one on the Democrat side disturbed by the fact the DOJ/FBI unethically spied on American citizens by abusing FISA?
Regardless of your opinion of Trump, this is big brother/ police state stuff.
So, you don't actually "know" what you claim to "know"?
You are merely inferring motives and taking the word of people who happen to confirm your internal biases while castigating people who don't.
After your "Gaslighting" post, and then having claimed knowledge that you don't have, you look like an amazing hypocrite.
Of course I don't actually "know" and of course I am inferring motives. No one knows and everyone is inferring at this point. That WAS the point. (It's not as much fun when I have to spell it out)
The Nunes memo crazies are acting as if it's legitimate and factual. There is no proof of that. Just as there is no proof that it is biased and fake.
Tick tock Luther.Of course I don't actually "know" and of course I am inferring motives. No one knows and everyone is inferring at this point. That WAS the point. (It's not as much fun when I have to spell it out)

Nunes is pure partisan with zero credibility and zero integrity.
Shiff is partly partisan with some credibility and a good deal of integrity.
Beer, wine, and PGA are all alcoholic beverages. They obviously have alcohol in common.
Nunes and Shiff are both politicians and obviously have partisanship and party loyalty in common.
If alcohol equals biased partisanship, then Shiff is wine and Nunes is PGA.

Amen, brother.
Trump will have to testify though. Logistics are debatable, but ultimately if stonewalled, Mueller would just issue a grand jury subpoena. Trump can't refuse... no one is above the law.
Most likely because we aren't convinced that happened and Nunes' memo with his cherry picked information won't change anything. His stunt last March still resonates in our memories. Nunes has no integrity and has served too aggressively as a Trump advocate to be taken seriously as an independent investigator.
OMG. Dude, you don't even understand what a forecast is? Can you even read? Read the first paragraph:
"The estimates on this page are based on pre-election polls. For an estimate including results, The Times is providing live forecasts on election night."
Using your "logic", you'd call your weather forecast "fake news", then sue your local meteorologist when his predictions are wrong.:crazy::crazy:
