The decision was made public after nightfall on deadline day for implementing sanctions against those who do business with Russian defense and intelligence firms, as required under a 2017 law.

The bill passed with overwhelming bi-partisan support in Congress. There were no false pretenses. The case that Russia meddled in the 2016 election was made. This is Trump showing a weakness for Russia which he has shown from the start of his campaign and it's suspicious.

To the overwhelming satisfaction of Congress! How often does anything pass with that kind of support? I think there were 6 members of the House that opposed and that's it.

Apparently none. We're going the honor system route. Because we have threatened them with sanctions and used harsh language, the Russians will now be deterred from doing it again.

The Russian lawyer in the Trump Tower meeting was exposed as a Russian agent by the Swiss.
Trump failed to implement sanctions against Russia for interfering with our elections.
McCabe said F it and decided to use up a month and half of paid leave before he prepares to answer questions about what Trump has said to him.

Seriously. It's time to find out what leverage the Russians have on the guy. Nobody should be comfortable with this. Trump is openly defying Congress to protect Russia from sanctions. It demands an explanation.

Trump has to approve the release, which I assume he will gladly do (if he does not, that would raise some massive red flags).

The democrats will attempt to release their memo. At this point, one of three things will happen.
1. The memo is cleared for release by both the House and Trump.
2. The house refuses to approve the release.
3. The house approves the release but Trump stops it.

If two or three happens, it's an admission of guilt.
If the dem. memo is released, the debate over the validity of each can commence.

Nothing to do but watch it play out over the next few days.
