TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Without knowing what's in it, why would you "LOL?"

If I were looking to bounce Rosenstien, this is Step 1 - create a reason. But make sure it's clouded enough that not everyone will have a clear understanding of what's been done. Step 2 is feign outrage. That's where you are right now.

You realize this was a summary of all the documents the DOJ/F.B.I. provided?... after the FBI director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein met with House Speaker Paul Ryan, the same day lawmakers were demanding that they turn over documents to the House Intelligence panel about the Trump-Russia collusion probe.

Thus, why would they put together a false narrative, that the F.B.I./D.OJ. can totally debunk or rebuttal as a lie, false, misleading etc once referenced against the documents?

If I step back and look at it, I just don't see the logic in that.

Rosenstien should be bounced for allowing Muller's open ended investigation and failing to give clear direction to his subordinate.

Look, if the memo is legit there will be no need to fire Rosentien, he'll resign.

I suspect there were tears flowing as you mashed this out.

Now, let's look at the flip side of this coin.

Say the allegations are real and the FBI/DOJ was used in a political manner to include a baseless FISA warrant. Or, as a minimum, a FISA warrant based on shady information paid for by the DNC.

Do I think this memo will be the tell all? No, but I'd be willing to bet the truth is somewhere in the middle of everything and there is corruption at the FBI/DOJ over what happened. And I'd tend to think you'll agree, your trolling post above notwithstanding.

Yes, yes - it's all a conspiracy against trump. Everyone in the DOJ and the FBI has it in for him, even the CIA that initially discovered the ties between Russia and people on his campaign.

What's next, Carter Page being a plant by the pro Hillary forces?

From 30,000 feet, it sure looks like a stretch to believe that everyone was in cahoots.

Trey Gowdy.

Non hype.

L-freaking-OL

I'd say you fall into the typical libtard biased media too?...they are so angry! LOL.

seriously CNN, please tell your anchors to be more polite and let the persons you interview finish their sentence ... geez

Man, this CNN reporter is being aggressive. Tone, arms and hands moving all over the place. Such an unprofessional. But then again, this is CNN. The most POS news organization in the world.

Just WATCH her NOT LISTEN..... She's too busy preparing her next comment! He says something important, which she pays no attention to, and she immediately says "OK", and changes the subject! She has no business being on the NEWS......she's way too absorbed with her own bias!

I don’t understand what she’s trying to pull-off here—it’s like she’s trying to play the tough cop. Her posture, her expressions, her head bobs. Very odd. Trey Gowdy is one of the most courteous men in DC. The contrast between them is so strange that it’s comical, except she’s just such a bad actress I‘m too horrified to laugh. She is trying to corner him, and failing so badly. Really bizarre.

You can be reasonable and have a rational discussion as I know you're capable of.

Or just continue being a douche.

I apologize for not living up to your expectations but you should know that your personal shots are a bit off putting.

A rational starting point would be.....we understand the inherent biases in the Nunes memo and therefore think the release of the memo without the accompanying democratic response would be wrong. Both memos should be released at the same time, therefore we will withhold the release of the Nunes memo until we are also ready to release the Shiff memo....

Anything else will be viewed as nothing more than partisan obstruction and an attempted cover for Trump's guilt.

Its a talking points memo that SPINS the intelligence to which they have been given access to put the worst possible face on the investigation as they can.

But, you allude in the bigger picture to what I was saying yesterday. When the memo is released, the right shall rejoice. Hannity et al will call for criminal investigations and indictments of FBI and DOJ leadership. Trump will be smug and take great delight. Huckabee-Sanders will soon be exhausted saying "I told you so" from the WH podium.

But the MSM and the 64 % will still be asking -- is this a fair accounting of what happened?

And the GOP seems not to have considered the consequences of what will happen. As you point out, the FBI and the DOJ will defend themselves. The real facts -- no spin either way -- will come out.

We just have to hope it comes out soon enough that Trump cannot rely on the SPIN version to duck having to talk to Mueller or the grand jury.

I agree, release both memos at the same time. Call Shiff and demand he allow his fellow house member to view his memo so it can be released.

Let's hope this is the case. Present us the public with the facts and let us sort it our and the chips fall where they may.

You know, if you would answer the question I posed to you last night, this conversation would go a lot easier.

As stated, the Schiff memo has not, repeat NOT been seen by the House Intel Committee. But he wants them to release it without review or without being seen.

This is a problem, no?

The question is begged: Why a memo?

If Nunes alleges the FISA process was violated, why not initiated an investigation? That is normal, rational protocol is it not? Nunes heads the very Committee that could launch an investigation, right?

Answer: Political cover for Trump. Nunes knows he has no real LEGAL basis to go after the Justice Department, so he's playing dirty politics instead. It's all a dog and pony show. Once the JD is afforded an opportunity to rebut Nunes' charges, the show ends and once again Nunes is left looking like the Trump tool that he is.

Let's not forget, Schiff went to court to DEFEND Fusion GPS...and he tried to stonewall Hillary email scandal disclosure.

He has. Links have been posted by others.

That's not what I'm seeing. I think his fear is being slow played. If his memo is not approved for release by the house and it is a straight party line vote, what would be your reaction? What should the dems do under those circumstance?

Didn't the head of the FBI (and I think Rosenstien) already review the memo? Didn't Wray immediately dismiss Mcabe? Coincidence?

It's really cute when you ignore direct questions because you don't have the answers.

From your church.

The committee did vote to allow Schiff's memo to be viewed by all House members, the same step that was taken with the Nunes memo earlier this month. But the committee's Democrats -- who charge that the Nunes memo is skewed and is an effort to undercut Mueller's investigation -- say the vote was a political tactic.
