"All that is a delaying tactic -- they want first shot for an independent period of time where the only thing anyone can see is their book report," said Rep. Mike Quigley, an Illinois Democrat. "What is added by the whole House reviewing it? None of them have seen the underlying materials, and none of them have had the year plus evaluation of reading all the documents elsewhere, interviewing everyone."
The question is begged: Why a memo?
If Nunes alleges the FISA process was violated, why not initiated an investigation? That is normal, rational protocol is it not? Nunes heads the very Committee that could launch an investigation, right?
Answer: Political cover for Trump. Nunes knows he has no real LEGAL basis to go after the Justice Department, so he's playing dirty politics instead. It's all a dog and pony show. Once the JD is afforded an opportunity to rebut Nunes' charges, the show ends and once again Nunes is left looking like the Trump tool that he is.
That in no way says Schiff did not want to let them read the memo. What is insinuates to me is the dems fear of being slow played.
It can be read and voted on within a 2 day period.
All that says is that they realize they are being slow played. If the Nunes memo is released and action taken before the release of the democratic response, then that is an admission of guilt.
That's exactly what I said about the apparent misinterpretation and spin you guys are trying to assign.

How are they being slow played when they allowed the Dem memo the same process as the Nunes memo? Schiff refused to let the R members of the committee read his memo until yesterday.
The Nunes memo had about a 2 month head start. The repubs. are going to say "we're going through exactly the same process" (which sounds good and fair to the 36%) but the reality is the repubs. know they will have the end result they're looking for - Which is the Nunes memo out in the public with no counter. They could get the Schiff memo approved in 2 days if they were concerned about getting to the truth in the most non-biased non-partisan way possible. We shall see. If they are not released to the public at the same time - it is more or less just an admission of guilt.

Let's see...
Who will get more air time on CNN, MSNBC, etc over the Nunes memo?
Those defending the content like Nunes, Gowdy, et al?
Or the DNC going point by point discrediting it?
Don't even act like they won't go after it.
Schiff is dishonest, and a liar. He'd do anything to not 'lose'. F*** him!
He's purely driven by partisan motivation.
This sums it up about the poster-boy for demagoguery Schiff'er
