TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Cute picture. I'm confident we all understand the electoral college. The fact remains, and will always remain, that the majority of the people who bothered to vote did not vote for Trump. More people did not want him as president than people who did, and that gap has widened. It's just a simple fact to keep in mind.

Perhaps one day it will dawn on the DNC that flyover country matters.

That part between the asterisks, you were corrected once about that kind of statement. It seems to have worn off.

I'm not sure you have the data to support the assertion that fewer people wanted him as president than those that didn't. You've outkicked your argument and don't have the argument you think you do.

Devin Nunes Won’t Say if He Worked With White House on Anti-FBI Memo

During Monday’s contentious closed-door committee meeting, Rep. Mike Quigley, a Democrat, asked Nunes point-blank if his staffers had been talking with the White House as they compiled a four-page memo alleging FBI and Justice Department abuses over surveillance of President Trump’s allies in the Russia probe.

The whole situation is setting up for Trump to fire Mueller. Then the real craziness will begin.

Forgive Deputy Fife, he only has one bullet....

House has given Trump 5 days to review and decide on the release of the memo. Wonder who is going to read it to him?

And I've corrected you multiple times to no avail. It almost seems as if I couldn't care less about your corrections. I'm confident in my statement. More people did not and do not want trump than did and do. Even a larger margin than among those who voted.

True statement of the week.

2-3 years ago, most of the deplorables would've laughed at the notion of Donald Trump. They aren't coalesced behind a man. They're coalesced around a common attitude that Washington doesn't care about them and they got tired of waiting out a weak economic recovery

The deplorables already loved any "trump type" candidate. That's what made them deplorables. The ones who came on later or just voted against the establishment out of a sense of being overlooked are not among the deplorables.
The deplorables would have been less than 5% of the Trump voters. Hillary never characterized all trump supporters as deplorables and everyone who reported it like that was her intent knew they were misleading and propagandizing. Hey, it worked.

Deputy AG and FBI director went to WH to warn John Kelly against releasing memo when McCabe stepped down.

How about 50%?
"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
That's not the point though. It wasn't about appealing to the worst in people. It's about just paying attention to them.

When a Democrat loses Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin, it's time for a little self reflection. Stop focusing on delegitmizing the vote and start offering a common sense alternative. It's what Be at Gingrich figured out in 1994 and Trump's approval numbers say that would be a winning strategy.

The country (and its established election process) has spoken. You still don’t understand the gravity of what took place on Nov. 8, 2016, and until you reconcile this, you will continue to feel the “bern” when you piss.

If you only knew.

Another interesting (albeit meaningless) fact. The 19 states (plus DC) that Trump did not carry have a higher combined GDP than the 31 states Trump carried.
That factoid and a dollar bill will get you your second cup of coffee at McDonald's in the morning.
