Trump has lied and cited non existent evidence that people in need in NC are being short changed on assistance based on being in Republican areas. As usual, it's a "some people are saying" scenario where he dodges being held to account for what he says.

Trump has also falsely claimed that the administration has ignored requests for help from Georgia.

Trump is just a complete ashhole.

First of all, Trump grew up in a middle class family.

And your proof he's "lying?"

If there is any instances of this, will that make you the liar?

Oh wait. How many times have you been wrong about things Trump has said? Well, LG, if the shoe fits...

I saw George Snufalufagous on ABC go all in this morning calling Trump a liar. What was funny is he did it right after a segment where a reporter on the ground near Asheville reported people sifting through debris looking for food.

Asheville is one step to the right of Lenin. That doesn’t help your point....

Trump's pathetic response after Maria (PR) means he should sit this one out.

There are some legitimate concerns with FEMA being caught flat footed here but Trump is the wrong messenger here....
It's funny that both sides criticize each others leaders for the response, but other than offering morale support there isn't much they can actually do. People rely to much on government to bail them out of trouble and we all know that the government if terribly inefficient.

I'll type slow so you can follow

Trump said D areas are getting more support than R areas

Asheville is a D area

People are eating trash in Asheville

But your comment doesn't seem to correspond to that, but its hard to tell. Its almost like double negative kind of thing. Free as a caged monkey kind of thing.

The problem with many of those areas has very little to do with Rs/Ds... their are literally people stranded on mountains with no food or water. Lots of people short term renting even.

Of course, lots of purple hair Baristas without jobs now. Hopefully Asheville/Black Mt. improve because they turned those places into major **** holes.

Disaster relief should be a state function, if anything....

I generally agree, but that is a political issue. The federal government is collecting massive amounts of taxes with the involvement of the States. The federal government isn't doing any (or a good portion) of the things they should be, and are involved in all kinds of stuff they shouldn't be.

The federal government is an untrustworthy entity at this stage.

Ummm....the governor of NC said he spoke to Biden and Biden offered full support and to call him directly if he needed anything. But you probably won't see that clip where you get your news.

There is little Trump, Biden, or Harris can actually do in the disaster areas. However, the very least they could do is show up. That gives people hope and the feeling that you care. I remember Bush caught hell from the media because it took him 2 days to visit after Katrina. Why the double standard now?

IMO a president visiting a disaster area just gets in the way.
