Its definitely a proxy war, but it was started by Putin. If every time Putin invaded a country we debated the relative worth of helping that country out based on whether we could find fault with their leadership, well, might as well concede to him all of Europe.

If your line for an acceptable ending to the war is Russia gives back conquered land, removes itself from Ukraine, and pays Ukraine damages, then all I can say is best case for you is endless war. Bc that ain't happening.

If Trump had 'won' in 2020, it is highly likely that none of this would even be going on. It's impossible to discuss it if you buy into the 'accepted' narrative of what this war is all about, dutifully parroted by the lackey U.S. media. There are a million sources out there that lay out the facts on this completely unnecessary mess that has cost the lives of so many Ukranian men and women, you just have to make an effort to find them.

The Hegseth nomination is a stunner. He just doesn't seem qualified at all and it seems he could be set-up for failure. It is an unorthodox pick, but it seems to be a dumb nomination. Who was the bozo that came up with this? I don't know if you turn it down if you're Hegseth.

I will say Hegseth is a really good guy, and he moved his family to Goodlettsville a couple of years ago so nothing personal against him.

This is where Pompeo should've been the pick.
