trump spent alot of time blasting rubio though. a couple of misses on his appointments the past couple days imoNot really feeling the Rubio to Sec State idea. Rubio never really piled on Trump AFAIR but I dont know how loyal he would be.
Really surprised Marco accepts this. 4 years in this admin vs a near lifetime job in the Senate. Very surprising. It also basically curtails the idea that he will be running in 2028 unless he resigns after 2-3 years.
The rest of the appointments seem pretty good though so far.

Nesheiwat was an international affairs fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations and served on the Governing Advisory Council for the World Economic Forum.[5][6] Nesheiwat also served on the Governing Advisory Council for Clean Energy at the World Economic Forum and was appointed as deputy assistant secretary of state in the Bureau of Energy Resources. She also served as the energy policy advisor in the department’s economic bureau, was the ex officio committee member for the Florida Ocean Alliance, as well as appointed as the Global Ambassador by the World Green Building Council.[8][9]
Did we survive it? No issues came up that hurt anyone or our efforts around the globe? We survived SoS Hillary, so I’m not too concerned about Rubio.
Trump isn’t going to go with just the best person for the job. There’s a lot of strategery involved to not dilute power when their replacements are made for the vacated positions. It’s a pretty safe bet that Florida keeps red seats and offices.
I wouldn't trust Rubio as far as I could throw him. So far out of all of Trumps picks I see Rubio being the first backstabber.
I think he's been fairly loyal and become a Trump ally in the Senate. He's also good if Trump wants to broaden relations with Central and South America like he should. Knocking out Chinese influence in our backyard would be preferable and I think Rubio could be the one to help that.
He's also been critical of throwing money at Ukraine as of late. I'm sure someone in the Trump circles informed him of what will happen come January.
