Some suspicious timing of that investigation though if one looks at when he got Speaker McCarthy ousted.

I think Trump hopes he gets through but probably has a second in mind. Meanwhile Gaetz's confirmation is so media covered that everyone else sneaks through.

Also, Thune is going to do what he can this early to get on Trump's good side, in order to bless his leadership position before Thune gets established. If this were to come later, I think he would have a harder time getting these through.

Couldn't keep up on his dues to keep his law license active. Associated himself with a convicted felon who was sentenced to underage sex trafficking, wire fraud, and stalking. Primary opponent of a revenge porn bill in Florida. Comes from a family of politicians. Lastly if you take his name and his party affiliation away and put it up against any normal AG he'd be laughed out of the place. Honestly the only qualification he may have is his law degree. I doubt he's ever been in a criminal proceeding outside of his own. Let's hope he never sees a day as an AG.
