Does the state knowingly have the right to violate immigration laws? Immigration is a federal issue correct?? Same reason Texas couldn't block their border and was sued?? Were you for states right then??I thought you guys were all about "state's rights"?

Btw. State laws that attempt to regulate immigration are unconstitutional and will be preempted by federal law.
Rather Illinois is trying to stand in the way of federal government of doing their job, which is to enforce immigration policy, as you stated. It sounds like you are arguing that states shouldn't have control of their own law enforcement agencies.
Texas was trying to use their own police force to enforce immigration policy, which enforcement of which is the domain of the federal government. Illinois is not trying to use their police force to enforce federal policy, so the false equivalence that you are trying to create here, doesn't really work.

And fences around them. They want autonomy? Give it to them, and the precautions that come with it.No no, the bearded one is correct. I think we should indulge these sanctuary cities/states, and instead of sending these invaders to Gitmo or home, send them to Chicago. By the bus load.
And cut off all of their federal funding.
