What says it has to be? It could be a glorified think tank that offers suggestions and proposals to Trump and congress. Then they act. They don't actually have anything personally to do with the firing of the fat.

I'm not sure if there is some rule. It might depend on what their mission is and how it's funded. I really don't know but your know there will be pushback because these guys will find cuts.

What Lloyd did was inexcusable and he has been unimpressive since his time as CENTCOM.

But that has nothing to do with with Hegseth's lack of apparent qualifications for one of the most difficult cabinet jobs.

Concur. Trump got Sec State wrong last time with Tillerson but did well with Sec Def in Mattis. Rubio should do OK as Sec State. Hegseth has a lot to prove.

If all he does is get the focus off of reading lists, and back on readiness, he’ll have done something positive.

who do you think is great at directing how an organization operates? Musk has at least 4 transformational organizations under his belt. Vivek had successful biotech startups.
