"But news reports show that it’s a bit of a mystery how much Trump inherited from his father, Fred Sr. When he died in 1999, the New York Times reported that "his estate has been estimated by the family at $250 million to $300 million." The New York Daily News reported at the time that the estate was worth $100 million to $300 million based on family estimates.

But how was it divvied up? That’s something that reporters have tried to sort out during the 2016 race.

The New York Times reported Jan. 2 that Fred Sr.’s will "divided the bulk of the inheritance, at least $20 million, among his children and their descendants, ‘other than my son Fred C. Trump Jr.’ "

Some of the grandchildren sued, and an "amicable" settlement was worked out.

But Donald Trump received money from his father long before his death.

A National Journal writer, S.V. Dáte, estimated Trump started with $40 million in 1974 when he became president of his father’s real estate company. By one estimate, the firm was worth about $200 million. Divided among Donald Trump and his four siblings, each would have received $40 million.

But the company wasn’t liquidated that year, so Trump didn’t receive that as cash.

In 1982, after running his father’s firm for eight years, Forbes magazine estimated Trump’s worth at $200 million."
PolitiFact - Did Donald Trump inherit $100 million?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It appears an impossibility that Trump inherited either $400M, or $200M.

Trump's share (widely reported) was $177.3 million once Fred's estate actually closed. The family "estimated" the estate at $300M. For estate tax purposes, you estimate as low as possible. Trump had another 60 million loan which wasn't paid back.

From the time Trump was 3 to his dad's death, they were finding ways to minimize income taxes, doing rate arbitrage, gifts, and trying to plan for estate taxes. To the extent that its legal, this is very good tax planning. This included paying 6 figure salaries at the age of 3 and significant related party transactions (Estate taxes were 55% so good tax planning would be having transactions with the kids who have much lower income tax rates). Tens of millions of dollars was shifted via these transactions.

Before Fred's death, most of his assets worth hundreds of millions was put into a GRAT to significantly reduce the size of the estate. Donald and the two other kids in the will got this as well...

So after an exhaustive Google search, I still can't find a copy of Trumps tax returns. Can someone point me to a website that shows the actual returns?

Joint Committee on Taxation released report with summaries last night. Actual Returns probably released Friday afternoon with names/SSN redacted...

So we are waiting to see just how rich this guy is and how much debt he has and how little in taxes he legally paid because???

No matter how he is doing it the guy clearly knows how to use the system to his benefit. Late 70s and has lived like a king his whole life.

Estimated to be in 3 billion range.

(He's worked with Forbes a lot in the past to provide values so I would suspect it's in the ballpark.) Only notable differences would be if he didn't disclose all debt to them. Forbes doesn't put a value on the "Trump" brand/intangibles....

$400 mill into 3 bill - I'll take it. So would you

I guess I would be so rich at that point that I wouldn't care about missing out on billions more due to my investing underperformance....

$1MM invested in the S&P 500 if 1975 would be worth almost $200MM today....

I don't care about Trump or his tax returns. He isn't president anymore and probably won't be.

Once they do this it will be weaponized. " Senator if you don't vote for this bill , we will release your tax returns." Book it.

Too bad he wasn't ever able to buy a little class.

Lots of distorted facts in here from the TDS patients.

According the the 2018 NYT exposé, Donald received $400 million from his father “adjusted for inflation”.

Then DJT would have been transferring his wealth to various trusts, family members, ex-wives, and charities. It’s nearly impossible to assemble all of the pieces and come up with an “aha, gotcha moment”. It’s certainly not going to show up from one member of the extended family’s individual tax return.

He claims he's MADE billions and billions. Has MANY successful businesses.

All lies.

Yes it was a bald faced lie just like the Dems and MSM are telling about him not being audited as required.

C'mon Hog,you've already proven you don't know what you're talking about when you said he had been been audited and that it's not the law.

Treasury Regulations have been determined by the Supreme Court to have binding legal effect because they are authorized in ant tax legislation.

Dems said they wanted the returns to confirm IRS had done the required audits. Guess what, they were right, the audits weren't done. Try to disseminate as much as you want, but you are wrong.

They're voluminous, the public might not see them for a bit as it will take time to scan and upload so much paper.

You must enjoy being wrong.

The law specifies that a “review” is required of the President’s and VPs tax returns, not an audit. There is a distinct difference between the 2 and the reviews were done.

Correct, the returns have to be redacted (for Hog, that means "edited to conceal") before release to obscure certain personal information such as social security numbers, bank account numbers, etc.

It's my understanding that was going to take a couple of days. Wonder how many people it takes to do that? You know just one of those returns has to be the size of several novels and they have to be reviewed multiple times to avoid missing something. Our due diligence group reviews tax returns on all acquisition targets and I am stunned at how voluminous some of them are.

Yeah, if the dimtards only think trump did it, then they are retarded. You think the Clinton's did the same thing? Or Pelosi. Dimtards please answer the question...

how does a Pelosi, etc... become a multimillionaire while being office for a hundred years and making that yearly income??
