No one is saying he hasn't accumulated a $3 billion net worth. But it's easy to accumulate wealth when you start with hundreds of millions and you have decades of time on your side for market appreciation.

It is fair to point out his net worth isn't what it should be given the hand he was dealt, especially when your persona is of a person who is a real estate tycoon. Even with huge run ups in stock and real estate market, his net worth is less now than a decade ago...

Here we go again with the whataboutism. No, the Liarindent isn't the only one. He made a promise to reveal his tax records, not once but several times, then didn't. Then made excuses for not doing so. Clear signals that he had also lied to the IRS (by default, the USA). The central point here is Trump lied about releasing his tax records, engaged in a long term game of hide and seek to prevent the promised release, because he knew he'd be revealed as having massively defrauded the USA. Finally, used his position as President to avoid having the IRS audit him as required by law BECAUSE all President AND Vice-Presidents are tax audited by law. Try as you might to detour around it, TrumPutin is a lair, a cheat, and a fraud, very likely a treasonous Russian spy as well. He's also an exploitive money grubbing nitwit, but I don't blame him for that. If I had 70+ million brainless minions believed my poop was gold to be coveted each time I used the commode, I'd sell Trumpy Bears and Trump trading cards to them too. Such suckers deserve to be taken advantage of because they're suckers by choice.

You have no idea where the wealth is. Trusts. Relatives. Holding companies. Foundations.

You also don’t know that he started with hundreds of millions. The NYT research indicates that Fred was worth a couple hundred million when he died in 1999. IN TODAY’s DOLLARS.

Individual tax returns will not paint the entire picture. Are the decades of charitable donations from the Trumps going to be added back?

Did he say he’d release his taxes BEFORE or AFTER he was being attacked on every possible opportunity. They tried to frame him as having urinated on Russian prostitutes and was therefore taking his marching orders from that government. It’s understandable that he’s decided to not give them any more ammunition to continue with their chronic, delusional accusations. They’d try to impeach him for signing his return with the wrong color of ink.

Trump has filled out plenty of disclosures and he worked with Forbes for decades to provide his values for stuff. I'd say Forbes has a really good handle since Trump has worked with them closely for decades regarding world's richest list...

The NYT clearly stated that Donald Trump received 177.3 million once dad's estate was closed. This has been reported elsewhere. This doesn't even include the GRAT or everything else that was siphoned out via estate planning before Fred's death. The same NYT article said that the property Fred and his spouse transferred to heirs was worth over a billion dollars.

Regarding charity, if he actually has taxable income and the easement isn't complete BS, he will get a charitable deduction in the future for that 2015 easement...

The "requirement" to audit presidential returns is in the Internal Revenue Audit Manual. It is not a legislatively mandated requirement.

The Internal Audit Manual also refers the requirements when a case needs to be considered LB&I. The Audit Manual also states how long Audit cycles should be, whether experts should be brought in, whether you wait for conclusion of prior exams to close, when to initiate audit conference, when to accept protective claims, and recommended Audit plans (i.e. timelines). Those LB&I guidelines appear to be met from the info disclosed. An LB&I audit is normally 18 months at minimum...

In theory, the IRS should have followed the mandate set forth in the Internal Revenue Audit Manual but by doing so, it would have violated other parts of the manual as well as legislatively enacted protections for taxpayers...

Determining Fred’s wealth passed through his estate (his wife lived longer) and where and what the value is today is pure speculation. Forbes and the NYT are guessing or fabricating amounts and writing up their created valuations to gain clicks and eyeballs. Even having every individual tax return filed by Fred and Donald won’t spell it all out.

Trusts. Foundations. Allocations to family. Holding companies. Muni funds. Stepped up coat basis (tax planners would want to place as a high a value as possible to take advantage of this rule). High appraisals for charitable gifts of property (Fred’s estate donated buildings and land to hospitals and other entities - high appraisals maximize the tax advantages).

If DJT gives anything to the Dems, he’ll be attacked for not paying his fair share or ridiculed for not having more reportable income. I don’t blame him for telling them to kick rocks.

But see, you and I and darn nigh everybody knows Donald Duck said during his 20016 campaign, right there on national TV debating with ole Hilaree gal, that he'd release his tax records. He repeated the pledge over and over. His promise goes as far back as 2014, and you know it. Twist it every which but loose if you want to, but he did promise repeatedly, before and after the "attacks" as you label them, not wholly without merit. But never-mind, experience has shown me you Trumpers will look for and invent circumvention of any truth about Donnie Duke's lies and misconduct. I’d find it much more interesting to put the finances of the Clintons or the Obamas under a microscope. They are extremely wealthy now, but not nearly so much before collecting a few years of POTUS salaries.
