Trump's tax returns to be released to the Dems...

I was actually talking about hypocrisy to take the stance that any of the politicians are worse than the others . We some how forget that they are the elites , all live in ivory towers , have lost touch with the common people ( if they actually every were in touch ) and their world is nothing like ours . We are under the illusion that the ones we vote in , time and time again , will somehow change who they are and fix our problems . In a lot of cases , fix the problems they help create or championed in the past .
I don't expect any politicians to fix real world problems, but some of them are definitely better/worse than others. Was the approach that Richard Nixon took to the responsibilities of public office the same as Howard Baker's ? No. They are/were not all the same - past or present.

The standard is not legality. It's whether average folks voting based on inflation, but who paid $5k in taxes last year, will be bothered by the Billionaire paying nothing.
Is your solution to give those that paid $5k in taxes a tax break to where they pay $0?

If not, then you are not providing a solution.

Wow. He sure does leave a lot to unpack here.

1) He says it's unprecedented to be handing over tax returns, but he's the only President since Richard Nixon to not voluntarily do it.

2) He accuses the Supreme Court of being a political body ... but isn't the split between the justices appointed by Republicans vs Democrats currently 6-3 in the Republicans favor?

3) ... and while he is accusing the Supreme Court of being political, he is also complaining that they didn't intervene in the 2020 Presidential Election. That is inconsistent.

The reality is, that Trump is disappointed that the Supreme Court Justices aren't political enough - and in his favor.

1) unprecedented to turn them over to political opponents without one's permission

Does anyone believe that Biden's tax returns show the illicit money that his son gave him on his tax returns? After all, the "big guy" didn't really earn the money, so he shouldn't have to pay taxes on it right?

You would have to be pretty stupid to pay taxes on illegal gains.

You'd have to be stupid to pay taxes on any money that you don't have to. I want to see the 150 suspicious banking activity reports that the banks turned over to the government on Hunter Biden and follow the money trail of those right to the big guys bank accounts.

Can't Democrats just follow Trump's directive after being served with a subpoena by a House committee?

Trump tells 4 former aides to defy Jan. 6 committee's subpoena

The law says that the Treasury Secretary “shall furnish” the records requested by the House Ways and Means Committee, the Senate Committee on Finance and the Joint Committee on Taxation. Now the law has been tested and affirmed by the SC. There is no restriction on the person or particular type of return. They just have to "want it". Standby for the Republican Ways and Means to request all kinds of returns from a variety democrats and related parties. Congrats.

No but the House Committee by statute has the absolute power to demand a copy. Trump lied, dodged, changed his excuses, lied some more, and just flat out made up nonsense to justify not providing them in defiance of the law.

Sorry. Not sorry. Time to see a that he's hiding.
😂

Good way to attack political rivals and it will be used regularly now.
